Marcus Camby to Portland for Outlaw/Blake is reportedly close to happening.

That would probably kill any 'Tay to LAC' speculation.

Yeah, it's done. Nice deal for the Clips IMO, they weren't gonna use Camby next year. Outlaw has to break out eventually....right?

Got a link?

Did the Clips get anything besides Blake/Outlaw/cash?

They were reporting it as done...a bunch of other paper latched on and credited them...now it's back up in the air. Sorry.

No prob, I'm reading that Camby is pissed because he wanted to re-sign with LAC.

Clippers deal Camby to Blazers

Associated Press

Portland, Ore. -- The Portland Trail Blazers are picking up needed help on the interior, acquiring Marcus Camby from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for guard Steve Blake and forward Travis Outlaw.

The team announced the trade on Tuesday.

The Blazers are currently in eighth place in the competitive Western Conference despite a litany of injuries. Centers Greg Oden and Joel Przbyilla are both out for the season with injuries. All-Star Brandon Roy hasn't played since Jan. 20 with a hamstring injury.

Clips waived Ricky Davis, too.

how is that a nice deal? a 7 footer who is still one of the elite shotblockers in the league for a backup pg and some cash...

Outlaw's injured for the rest of the year.

Camby for Tay and Kwame would've made more sense...but it is the clipeprs..

Camby is 36 and his deal is done. Clips weren't gonna make the playoffs, they got 3 million dollars and the bird rights to Outlaw. Beats sitting on your thumbs.

Well, well, well

2 trades down and more to follow?

I recall Hermy saying that only a couple would go down and therefore Joe would not look like a chump if he stood pat.

Time will tell but it seems a lot of teams are still looking to deal ...

I said only 1-2 of "those trades" would go down.

I liked Broussard on Mike and Mike this morning talking about the Rockets wanting a couple firsts with Jeffries from the Knicks (including this years). Too bad they don't have their pick and can't trade next years because of that. They'd have to offer a 2012 and 2014 pick at best. I can't stand when 'experts' don't even know the damn CBA for the sport they cover.

Marc Stein is saying NY offered swapping 2011 picks and giving up their 2012 pick. That is allowed. At least he knows what he is talking about.

I feel like they could've gotten more is what I meant. An expiring big man who could still be valuable to teams making a push for the playoffs or for a team looking for cap space. Camby's still got some left in him. He was a valuable trade piece but got blake, outlaw and 3 mil in return...terrible

Well, if they were willing to take on salary, I'm guessing they could have had the world.

It's all good - just a snide remark I had to throw in
