Which would you rather have?
Before anyone says it, obviously there's a strong chance the Rams will take one of these guys.

FillyCheezeSteak 02-11-2010, 09:23 PM This is an easy question............the answer is Gerald McCoy. McCoy is the more explosive of the two and the one that I think has a higher ceiling. He is not just a flash in the pan like Suh could be. I think Suh might sell more jerseys and could be a bit more marketable, but McCoy is better to build around IMO. DrRay11 02-12-2010, 08:15 AM Suh honestly scares me a little bit with his tendency to arm tackle and be too upright at the POA... Don't know if that's going to work in the pros... Wilfredo Ledezma 02-12-2010, 10:50 AM This is an easy question........... Okay, Mel. Timone 03-06-2010, 01:16 AM Anquan Boldin mercury 03-07-2010, 12:11 AM IMO it comes down to closing speed.. Suh is exactly what you see... McCoy can play side to side and be used in various schemes. btw, this is not an undersized lineman.. he can play the power game too.... strength can be developed... quickness is another thing. Glenn 03-07-2010, 07:55 AM King Kong Suh Tahoe 03-10-2010, 06:11 PM If it comes down to these 2, meaning no trade down, I'm switching to Suh. WTFchris 03-11-2010, 10:07 AM I've been reading about them more lately and it appears to me that McCoy has a higher ceiling (more speed) and that Suh's technique might not work in the NFL as well. I've also heard that McCoy is basically a 3 technique DT (on a 4-3 formation) and Suh might be better suited to play in a 3-4 and play passing downs inside and running downs on the end, so those types of things play in. Glenn 02-11-2011, 02:25 PM Gerald McCoy FillyCheezeSteak, mercury, Tahoe, Train Wreck, WTFchris DrRay11 02-11-2011, 02:38 PM Suh honestly scares me a little bit with his tendency to arm tackle and be too upright at the POA... Don't know if that's going to work in the pros... Turns out I grossly underrated his hand technique, and his arm tackling works just fine in the pros. Dude's strength is downright freakish. |
