I'm sure its unlikey, but would they even have a shot at getting a guy like Kovalchuk or maybe a less stellar player like Selanne or Whitney?

Regardless of where they end up being seeded, I still think they have a legitimate shot at contending for the cup, but they could really use some insurance incase the injury bug continues....

I thought Kovalchuk wants like 10 mil a year. If so there is no way. Not unless Nick retired would they have cap space for that.

I think D is a problem, but it's like DE said in another thread, it's not just the blue line, it's Team D as a whole.
