Got some rumors out there that Paul Pierce has a broken foot.

WTFchris
02-02-2010, 04:15 PM
Give them RIP or Prince for expirings (House, Scalabrine, Daniels, Giddens). Apparently their bench has sucked ass anyway, so they could use either when PP is back.

Glenn
02-02-2010, 04:29 PM
^that's actually not a bad idea

Glenn

Would they have enough expirings/picks to get TMac?

Probably not without including Ray Allen.

Paul Pierce out?

The Boston Celtics have yet to reveal the results of X-rays taken on Paul Pierce's left foot--the one he injured in the first quarter of Monday night's win at Washington.

However, Shelden Williams might have let the cat out of the bag.

On his twitter account, Williams writes, "Man when it rains it pours!!! Yall find out what I mean soon!!!!"

I seriously doubt he's talking about the successful left knee surgery performed Tuesday on J.R. Giddens.

RIP, Prince, Kwame for Allen/Allen/Big Baby+ pick

Aldridge just confirmed that Pierce's foot is broken.

Joe Asberry
02-02-2010, 05:23 PM
will that injury and the Celtics struggles lately help a Allen-RIP/Prince deal?

Glenn

I'm pulling for career highs from Rip and Tay tonight.

Glenn
02-02-2010, 05:33 PM
If we got Allen, I bet we would buy him out by March 1 so he could go elsewhere (back to Boston?) and more importantly, save a million and open up the starting job for BG.

Glenn

Celtics now saying that Aldridge got it wrong and that it's just a sprain.

WTFchris

Celtics want a younger/cheaper SG and expirings for Ray. Would RIP fit the former?

So we'd help Boston possibly win another title or 2 as pay back for heling us land Sheed and giving us massive cap space?

Sure - why not?

In 2 or 3 years Boston is gonna suck monkey crap

Glenn
02-04-2010, 09:39 AM
I think we should trade everything we have for 2013 and later draft picks. Try to time it so we're good just when LeBron is starting to decline.

Pharaoh
02-04-2010, 09:45 AM
lol

the easiest thing to do would be to use the youth we have now and the pick we're gonna get to grab a legit star player that can play with Rip, BG and Nova.

With a package of Tay, Stuckey, Daye and the 2010 Lotto pick we should be able to land Bosh signed to the MAX (plus something else)

With Big Ben, Bosh, Nova, Maxiell and Wilcox you don't need another big.

With Jerebko, Summers, Rip, BG and Bynum on the perimeter you do however need a PG.

Who are the free agent PG's this off-season that would come here to play with Ben Wallace, Rip, Bosh, BG and Nova for the full MLE?

Dunleavy Steps Down As Head Coach
Feb 04, 2010 6:33 PM EST

The Los Angeles Clippers today announced that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Dunleavy will step away from his day to day coaching responsibilities and focus exclusively on the team’s personnel matters.

The decision was reached mutually during a meeting at the team’s Playa Vista Training Center on Thursday. In attendance at that meeting were Clippers’ President Andy Roeser, Dunleavy and Assistant General Manager Neil Olshey, who will continue in his role as Dunleavy’s top aide in Basketball Operations.

Current Clippers’ Assistant Coach Kim Hughes will immediately assume the role of Interim Head Coach, and will retain the position through the remainder of the ’09-’10 season.

If I interviewed for the Clippers Coaching job I'd ask Dunleavy why he stepped down and if he couldn't win with them how could anyone else?

CHICAGO -- Lindsey Hunter got up Saturday morning and walked around the house.

"Click. Click. Click,'' was a sound he heard. His wife, Ivy, wondered what it was.

"It's ridiculous,'' said Hunter, the Chicago Bulls guard who is the NBA's oldest player at 39. "When I got up and started walking around, my ankles click when I walk. My wife asked, 'What is that.' I said, 'It's my ankles.' Seriously, my ankles click when I walk. You can't recover (at his age) the way you used to.''

That's one reason Hunter said in an interview with FanHouse he expects to retire after this season. Hunter, who was brought back for a final year primarily to serve as a mentor for Chicago's young players, realizes the NBA is no place for 40-year old guards.

FSD drops two Pistons games
Fox Sports Detroit has dropped two Pistons games from its local TV schedule, Feb. 27 at Golden State and March 13 at Atlanta. FSD picked up two Pistons games that were originally scheduled to be on ESPN (Dec. 9 vs. Philadelphia and March 21 at Cleveland) and in exchange dropped the two other games.

The Pistons struggles this season likely contributed to this decision. If the Pistons were in a position to make a playoff push, my guess is FSD would not be dropping the games.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento Kings star rookie Tyreke Evans had what's sure to be one of the most memorable dinners of his life on Thursday.

He dined with President Barack Obama at the president's request.

Sources told KCRA 3 the two shared a meal at the Las Vegas home of Kings owner George Maloof.

Obama told the Maloofs to draft Evans when he was playing for the University of Memphis.
