Just 4 games out of a playoff spot. We may need to merge this with the Pistons #1 lottery pick thread.

And the debate over "Higher Lotto Pick or #8 seed" shall continue.

Personally I wanna see Joe make a trade.

Tayshaun has got to be popular with most teams IMO.

For a contender he's a guy you can bring off the bench and know he's not gonna lose his mind in the playoffs.

For teams making a playoff push he's a veteran that you know has been there and done that for the last 7 years.

For a shitty team with no playoff hopes he could be a veteran mentor type of guy for the rest of this season and next.

We gotta do something...

It's unfathomable to me that anyone here would actually want this team to make the playoffs just to get thrashed again, espcially after being told what would happen last year and then having to watch it happen.

If we can get the second most ping pong balls, we'll have a 20% chance of getting Wall and changing the total immediate future of this franchise (the team with the most balls, the Nets, will only have a 25% chance, even if they go 3-79). Oh, but I'd much rather be swept in the 1st round than change our fortunes like that.

team with the worst record (Nets) - 25.0% chance of receiving the #1 pick
second worst - 19.9% chance
third worst -15.6% chance
fourth worst - 11.9% chance

I'll take those odds over another round 1 playoff sweep.

I agree GD - unless Joe can make a major trade.

Say he somehow pulled off the Jefferson/Sessions trade...

Would you still wanna tank?

With Big Ben, Jefferson, Jerebko, Rip, Sessions, BG, Nova, Bynum and Maxiell as our 9-man rotation?

I'd love to see them take on the World.

Yes, if the team is dramatically rebuilt before the deadline (in a good way) then you go for it, but I'm pretty convinced that this season is a bust right now.

With the team for sale, is Joe even going to be allowed to take on any future money?

Almost assuredly no.

But let's keep in mind this could come at a worse time. At least we're forced to rebuild while we're rebuilding.

right now i dont think the Pistons will make a trade, Tay is untradable right now beeing hurt, he cant help anyone, so our best tradechip is not available...

i guess our struggles continue with a good game here and there and we will finish something like 10-13 worst record in the NBA and miss the playoffs by some games...
