A phrase I never thought I'd hear:

"Chris Wilcox is wearing out the mavs"

Mavs can't make anything and we can't miss, what a great combination!

Charlie and Wilcox > the NBA

This is the worst that I've ever seen the Mavs play, which is nice.

Gordon, Rip and Stuck on the floor and CV decides to drive the lane....and gets an offensive foul on the charge.

this team is soft. The softest Pistons team I've seen in 15 years.

All they do on defense anymore is foul and stand around in the paint and just hope the other team misses open long jumper.

The worst thing that could have happened to this team was the injuries, but because it gave the illusion that Jerebko was ready to be a full-time starter and Wilcox was capable of playing basketball at any level.

Our most physical players ride the bench now. That's the new M.O. for this team. You're not welcome on the floor unless you can either shoot threes or you're a white kid from Sweeden.

Weird game.
Loss #10 in any case.

Not weird.

They gave the Dallas Mavericks wide open jumpers all game long, and eventually they started to make them. This was as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning.

An average offensive team would be up by so many points that this wouldn't matter, but since the Pistons start Jerebko and Ben Wallace, their starting 5 is the most offensively inept unit in the NBA. Even when they're clicking they can't score because they play 5 on 3 on offense and the other team just traps the guards.

I don't blame Rodney for taking that wide open 3. If that's how Dallas is going to play it, an NBA-caliber guard needs to be able to make a shot that wide open, no matter how poor a shooter he is under normal conditions.

There really is nothing at all positive to take out of this game. The rotation still sucks. We still double-team way too much. We still have the worst offensive starting 5 in the NBA. We played a team that took us for granted for 2/3 of the game and still led the entire 4th quarter.

Maxiell and Kwame still on the bench. Our starting power forward has all of 2 rebounds, giving him 4 defensive rebounds in 4 starts.

Let me repeat that: Our starting power forward is averaging 1 defensive rebound per game. He brings nothing at all to the table at the position. But he's still apparently good enough to nail Jason Maxiell to the bench.

I considered a bit of a moral victory to have a wide open 3 to tie the game in Dallas...exspecially the way we've been playing.

They would have lost anyway if they had payed New York or Chicago tonight. Dallas just didn't show up. the Pistons still are a joke defensively.

Showcasing Wilcox?

Might be able to package him and Kwame for something better up front?

Is Maxiell injured - everyone is/was

So I take it we don't love this team's effort anymore...?

why wasn't CV on the floor when we needed a three at the end of the game? he hit 4 threes prior to that point. not sure if that would have affected the outcome, but what was the thinking there? anyone catch the post game, did anyone ask?
