View Full Version : Will Bynum's ankle injuries Glenn 01-04-2010, 01:08 PM Will Bynum reaggravated his left ankle in an individual workout and will not travel with the team to the two games in Texas. Glenn 01-11-2010, 10:09 AM Pistons Will Bynum frustrated on sidelines (http://www.freep.com/article/20100111/SPORTS03/1110348/1356/sports/Sore-ankles-teams-slide-frustrate-Will-Bynum) Working on his free-throw shooting after Sunday’s practice, Will Bynum looked ready to start running pick-and-rolls. But all you had do was look at the flip-flops he wore to tell there is no word on when the backup point guard will return from sore ankles. Bynum, who says he has rolled his left ankle three times this season, won’t play tonight at Chicago when the Pistons try to end a 12-game losing streak. So you can understand why Bynum, who will miss his sixth game in a row, isn’t happy. “I’m extremely frustrated, especially for us to be losing like we are now,” said Bynum, a Chicago native. “I learned growing up and throughout my whole life that these times are times that kind of build you who you are as a person. “I think for everybody it’s time to look at their self in the mirror and see what they can do or bring to the table or a whole lot more — including myself on the sideline.” — Detroit Free Press darkobetterthanmelo 01-11-2010, 12:02 PM I hate to say this, but his injuries are a good thing. Can you imagine how much Dumars would have to pay to keep Bynum around if he was healthy? Probably Maxiell or Amir Johnson money. Granted, he will probably outbid himself and still overpay Bynum, but at least the market is a lot lower than it should be. WTFchris 01-11-2010, 12:59 PM Not good if they are chronic though. Ask Yao about that. BubblesTheLion 01-11-2010, 03:50 PM Not good if they are chronic though. Ask Yao about that. ....small guard vs genetic freak of nature. The stresses are a little different. Pharaoh 01-12-2010, 03:24 AM I don't wanna beat a dead horse but him, OFF THE BENCH, has saved this team countless times and it's painfully obvious that without him we suck. His energy, his attitude, his whatever - he's probably THE most important player on the roster due to his ability to play his role so well. This off-season we need to keep him. Though there are a lot probems with this roster he certainly isn't one of them. WTFchris 01-12-2010, 07:57 AM Hey, i didn't say dump him or he's the same as Yao. I'm just hoping this doesn't become a chronic injury. Either way, you have to keep him cheap in case it's not chronic. Glenn 02-02-2010, 03:07 PM Apparently going to play tonight. Should be interesting what kind of difference having him makes, if any. Will also be interesting to see how they ask him to play (playmaking focus vs. scoring focus). |
