Just bought a house in Pleasant Ridge. Should I go with contemporary or traditional furniture. I'm not married so I'm going to be doing this on my own.

I would think that you would want to match the style/age of the home.

House is 80 year old colonial. Tree lined streets. City is part of some national historic district. All homes are minimum 60 years old. The neighborhood says traditional but I was looking at furniture here http://www.brightideasfurniture.com/ and it interests me more than pottery barn. Went to Art Van and that place was terrible. I think everything was made out of formica.

Its about 12 houses east of woodward near the Comerica Bank. West of Woodward is way out of my price range.

Lots of particle board at Art Van, or "sawdust & stickers" I likes to call it.

Furniture is overrated.

Buy some fucking bean bags, some beds and there's your furniture.

You either need something to sit on or sleep on and since you're single you should be able to fuck on every piece of furniture you own.

And FIY: A tiny coffee table is not a good idea because while fine for sitting on 1) it's too small to lay on 2) it's be uncomfortable to lay on 3) it will not support the weight of 2 human beings fucking, even in a seated position.

I love the fact they threw in the Jets pizza. I wish I was in that meeting where the executives decided to add that to the deal.

Its a great gimmick with the plasma, ps3, and the pizzas. The furniture set is likely $800 cheaper and then they throw a cheap 720p plasma and a PS3 and jack up the price and act like you got it for free.

I already have old furniture but since this house is actually kind of nice I want to get nice furniture with it too.
