On a Bushwhacking note, turns out the Al Qaeda claiming credit are ones that were released from Gitmo under Bush. They were released into some kind of "art therapy" program in Saudi Arabia, then went back to Al Qaeda (or perhaps went to Al Qaeda as a result of U.S. mistreatment at Gitmo):

First off, "you libs" doesn't adequately describe me. I certainly don't blame Bush for things he didn't do, the hallmark of a liberal off the deep end. As I understand things, Bush let most of the Saudis go, most likely to appease the Saudis. They probably didn't like the reports of the Saudis committing suicide at Gitmo happening at the time.

I must've missed these articles about how the Saudis bribe and coddle these people not to turn back to their terrorist life... oh boy. Maybe we screwed up in Michigan by offering up a Standish jail as a holding facility for Gitmo instead of the Interlochen art camp. Sheesh:

Apparently, one of the people claiming credit was surrendered to the Saudis TWICE (once by the U.S., once by Yemen more recently) only to have the goob still active enough to be taking credit for bombing attempts months later. Here's an old story about the issue:
