Jumping into the back of a pickup truck driven by his fiancee during an argument WITH the fiancee??? Then getting thrown from the truck.

What a shitty way to go.

Awful news. Guy was only 26! It seemed like he'd been in the league for the last decade. RIP

I hate to say it, but it's not shocking news. If there was one player in the NFL you could expect this from, it would be Chris Henry. It sounded like he was starting to get his life on track, though.

We'll have to keep updating this thread, though, as a public service.

As soon as I wrote my post, I expected this to be the very next post.

As much as it seemed like he was getting his life on track, he had probably only managed to not get arrested or be in the spotlight. People who have their life on track don't generally get into such heated arguments that they hop in the back of a pickup and start hitting the back window with their cast only to be thrown out of said pickup.

I feel bad for his kids though, that stuff makes me sad.

According to the media, RRod noted him as "an embarrassment" and "uncoachable" while at UWVa.

But today, he'd take him in a Buckeye second.

I'm sure the dude was the same guy. You can TRY and change, but crisis inevitably snaps you back to your former persona.

your the first person I've seen use Buckeye as an adjective, Denny

Right. Didn't the article say something like "he's turned his life around THE LAST 6 MONTHS". As though it's phenomenal to go that long without doing something stupid. Also, dying like this would seem to suggest he didn't exactly make that 180 degree turn. SUPER DEATH PUN! FUCK YEAH!

You'd think a guy like that would die in a drive-by or something.

Nowhere near as bad as the Chris Farley pics, but still pretty unnerving.

Kinda surprised that they are on Yahoo! like that.
