I haven't seen wave firsthand but from what I've been able to read it sounds like a really ambitious re-invention of email that no one wants, no one will understand and no one will ever use.

Also, I'm with Fool on google voice. In contrast to wave, google voice is something that almost everyone wants even if they don't realize it yet, will love once they understand it and could use every day.

Interesting. I guess I was hearing about it more as a social networking tool that an email application. I've been waiting for Google to buy either Twitter or Facebook, and they still might, but I thought that this might be their foray into developing their own SN product.

I see people going nuts about getting wave invites, just like they did for gmail.

Google Wave is a whiteboard on steroids, AFAICT. I'm sorta curious about how the young'uns are reacting to it.

From the video I understood it as an upgrade for the game chats we used to have. I didn't really see the need for as much clapping as there was in the video. Pretty ridiculous for a fat chick and a dweeb from iceland.
