Before Comedy Central we would have regular Comedy nights... I remember going to see Tim Allen b4 he became someone... what was that club in Birmingham?
There were clean comedians like Bill Engvall (rib splittin) that since has regressed since the early days.

The guy that makes me laugh til it hurts is Nick Swardson.. that dude is fuckin' funny.

Who makes you laugh the most?

Gaffigan is the best in the business right now, IMO.

I certainly don't mind swearing, but if a guy can kill it without going blue, then you know he's got it. Steve Martin used to be that way, too.

Another sign of being good is if you'd still plunk down cash to go see him live even if you already have his act memorized.

On the other end of the spectrum, God, I remember how good/big Dice was back in the day.

Bill Hicks. Sometimes he got so angry about the shit he was talking about that he forgot to be funny, but then someone would heckle him and then the show would turn into pure awesome. Everything Lewis Black pretends to be, Bill Hicks really was. Just a giant slow-motion plane crash of comedy, and he's taking the audience with him. Sad he had to go the way he did.

Mitch Hedburg was hysterical. I guess that's because he was tripping during his entire act...

Dude was hilarious, no doubt, but he also sometimes made me uncomfortable enough to remember why I don't use LSD anymore.

Speaking of being uncomfortable, some of Jim Florentine's crank calls are incredibly uncomfortable in nature. I don't know how he does it, sometimes I have to turn them off when I hear them on XM.

Maybe that's an embarrasing thing to admit, but I'll come clean, we listened to that shit non-stop in high school. I liked Ford Fairlane, too.

Ford Fairlane is the shit, no doubt. I own it on both VHS and DVD.
