Rivalries make sports great. They set college and the NFL apart, IMO. You have maybe one truly great rivalry in the pros (Ravens/Steelers), and a shitload in college.

Obviously the games are won on the field, but I see no harm in a little shit talk between coaches or players. I don't know... I like to watch games knowing that both teams aren't too fond of each other.
