You might want to check this scenario but I think if we split with Minni, Minni would have to win out and we'd have to lose every game v Sux for Minni to win it. The hard part is splitting with Minni.

I can guarantee a loss tonight: Pavano is on the hill. I think he's 72-0 against the Tigers this year.

It would have been funny if they had gotten married, then she would be Alyssa Milano-Pavano, which is a silly name to have.

So they need to take care of business the next two days. If they go down to the last game Sunday they'll need Verlander and then he'd miss the first couple games of the playoffs while resting. If they close this out by Saturday they can pitch anybody on Sunday and set up the rotation correctly. Jackson pitches Friday, so he'd be on normal rest for game 2. Verlander would have an extra couple days of rest, but he's a pro.

Agree with Mo on the Pavano thing.

I was fine with a split going in and I'm still ok with that. The magic # would be 2 if we split, meaning we'd have to lose out and the Twins would have to win out. Thats possible, but unlikely.
