View Full Version : 2009 Lions news Glenn 09-15-2009, 12:32 PM My moles/CWPFs are telling me that DE Paul Spicer could be signed by the Lions. Wilfredo Ledezma 09-16-2009, 03:51 PM Lions claimed Turk McBride off waivers from KC. He was a 2nd rd pick 2 years ago and he's a LB. Apparently he was cut becuase he wasn't a good fit for KC's new 4-3 scheme. So naturally, his former DC brings him here. Makes sense. Glenn 09-18-2009, 03:25 AM Another banner day for the Lions organIzation: --Monte Clark died --Chuck Rogers - DUI Make it a great day! Big Swami 09-18-2009, 11:48 AM Monte dying is teh suck. Glenn 09-18-2009, 11:53 AM I wonder if you can get one if his Lions sweaters on ebay? Glenn 09-21-2009, 03:42 PM Lions linebacker Ernie Sims has a significant shoulder injury and is expected to miss some time. http://bit.ly/S0l0S mercury 09-21-2009, 10:26 PM My moles/CWPFs are telling me that DE Paul Spicer could be signed by the Lions. http://www.find-cures.com/ Tahoe 09-28-2009, 11:50 AM Any news on K Smiff? Wilfredo Ledezma 10-01-2009, 08:14 AM They cut Yamon Figurs and re-signed Adam Jennings yesterday. Wilfredo Ledezma 10-01-2009, 08:18 AM Another thing, I guess Will James is starting opposite Anthony Henry again at corner. Apparently Buchanon has become a scapegoat for the pass defense, which absolutely baffles me. He didn't even play in the New Orleans game, and I thought we played better vs. the pass vs. Minnesota (the one game he did start) than we did vs. the Redskins. There is no upside with Will James, he's older and he blows. We paid Buchanon some nice coin, he doesn't deserve the Leigh Bodden treatment. Also, Killer said yesterday that he thinks Ko Simpson will be the other starter at safety opposite Delmas for the rest of the season. I'm fine by that. Marquand Manuel is garbage and Kalvin Pearson is a twerp. Tahoe 10-04-2009, 07:52 PM Terry or Jimmy or someone just teased the break with "Is Detroit's Mathew Stafford out for the year" Holy shit, if so, our Super Bowl hopes are gone. Tahoe 10-04-2009, 07:56 PM Knee cap subflexation. MRI tomorrow. Glenn 10-04-2009, 09:28 PM subluxation, I presume Tahoe 10-04-2009, 09:30 PM What do I look like, a doctor? ^ don't answer that. Tahoe 10-05-2009, 01:36 PM Ok Staff is all messed up with a subflexation AND a subluxation, but does it really matter who we lose with at the helm? DrRay11 10-05-2009, 02:12 PM he's fine. i'm a doctor << Glenn 10-05-2009, 02:22 PM Speaking of doctors on the board, how's his shoulder? :kennythejet: DrRay11 10-05-2009, 03:37 PM day to day Glenn 10-05-2009, 05:39 PM Probably not a bad week to have him sit out, anyways. The lions also claimed some safety off waivers from the Cowboys (White). Vinny 10-05-2009, 06:40 PM Schwartz said "day to day" but it was more like a "I have no idea, and even if I did, I'm not going to tell you. Could be tomorrow, could be next year. Were taking it day to day." mercury 10-05-2009, 10:38 PM First comes injuries... then Scott Michellitis (happy feet). No O line = failed QB DrRay11 10-06-2009, 06:53 PM http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2009/10/lions_waive_darnell_bing_activ.html PAIN TRAIN Glenn 10-15-2009, 05:23 PM The Lions have already given up 6 TDs to opposing TEs. That's crazy. Wilfredo Ledezma 10-16-2009, 01:45 PM I'm going to try and remember all 6... 2 to Shockey 1 to Shiancoe 1 to Miller I can't think of the other 2... Greg Olsen? Vinny 11-15-2009, 04:08 PM Stafford has been hit and or hurried on 34 out of 46 dropbacks today so far. MoTown 11-15-2009, 10:33 PM I actually forgot that the Lions played today. And it felt good. mercury 11-15-2009, 10:42 PM Stafford has been hit and or hurried on 34 out of 46 dropbacks today so far. Yet we have folks saying that the right move was to get the QB b4 a decent O line... nice knowing ya Stafford... good luck with your injury insurance plan... sheesh. Glenn 11-16-2009, 03:39 PM Some Canadian company just bought the Silverdome for less than $600K. WTFchris 11-17-2009, 07:17 PM In an offense that also includes receiver Calvin Johnson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10447), Bryant Johnson should have ample opportunity for high production. But he has proved underwhelming in that role, and dropped what would have been a touchdown pass late in the second quarter of the Lions’ 27-10 loss at Minnesota. Overall this season, Johnson has caught only 22 of the 56 passes thrown his way. That ratio puts him among the 10 least-efficient receivers in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Looked at another way, Johnson has cost the Lions far too many yards and first downs. Glenn 11-19-2009, 01:05 PM Another blackout for you Lions fans. It'll be good for you, actually. Glenn 12-18-2009, 10:58 AM Lions could deal WR Calvin Johnson? http://bit.ly/7QgKw3 Hermy 12-18-2009, 12:12 PM Glenn could meet me in the Meijer parking lot tonight for a game of "hide the pickle"? Glenn 12-18-2009, 12:19 PM ^insensitive Hermy 12-18-2009, 12:48 PM ^insensitive? Fixed. Glenn 12-18-2009, 12:56 PM Okay, I'm not following this. Explain. Hermy 12-18-2009, 01:05 PM The media's discovery that if you put a "?" after any statement, you can run with it as a story. "President Obama not American?" "WTFDetroit has pedophelia in area 51?" "Dar Tucker exclusive?"......bad example...anyways.... And then dismissing it in the meat of the story. The story is in fact "Local idiots make shit up that everyone should ignore....", but it gets more clicks when you are deceptive. Glenn 12-18-2009, 01:35 PM Okay, so you have issue with Mr. Maller, I thought you were fucking with me. Tahoe 12-18-2009, 10:26 PM Fuckin Herm with that Area ?? bullshit. WTF is that? |
