Fire up Chips!

I was at one of these games in EL back in the 90's when the Chips pulled off the shocker.

That place was a mausoleum.

There's an answer...seemed like about 3 plays.

Tahoe

27 26 MSU. Chips scored, missed the 2pt play, on-side kick was successful, now a FG attempt for the win. 47 yarder to win it.

CMU scores and takes the lead, 3 secs left.

At least Father Mark got his contract extension signed yesterday, lol.

Chris, when you get here to gloat, can thou break this out into a new thread? I suppose it deserves its own OGT now.

But MAC teams are really tough.

Glenn

Gotta think that a JLS-era MSU team finds a way to win this one.

Anybody think CMU is better than the App St team that beat UM?

Not a chance CMU is better but Michigan was thought of as a far better team than...

It does give Sparty nation no reason to ever bring that game up again though

Glenn

It will be interesting after tomorrow to see if "same old Sparty" or "same old Lions" is more fitting.

Tahoe

I think the Lions are still going to pretty much suck. Can't turn it around with 1 draft/FA season.

UofM on the other hand, should be exciting to watch.

The Lions will suck, but you will proud of the way they suck. Unlike last year.

Chris DEFINATELY deserves to start his own thread.

I can't gloat because I didn't pick them. I'm very happy of course, but I thought they'd just keep it close. I'm just hoping they can finish the season ranked and get the best of the MAC bowls.

Gotcha. That has to be one of their biggest wins, wasn't it? Or have they beat B10 schools before?

Glenn

They beat MSU twice already in the 90's

They hung in against some good Purdue teams lately (and also at Georgia a couple years ago). Even in losses to bigger schools they've shown up well since Lefevor went there. They sucked when I went there though. normally about 4 wins and none against any major school.
