You know Michigan can't stop the run and has to use their two timeouts, so you fucking throw. LMAO

Fuck this thread. We won that game. We ran a reverse which was stupid.

WE WON THIS GAME! Charlie didn't lose it.

I'm sorry, this was a knee jerk reaction.

Charlie Weis is probably a hell of a guy.

My post might have been a lil harsh, but I think "WE" did it today as opposed to having something handed to us.

Charlie Weis works with autistic kids. That's cool.

No, I definitely agree with you. UM definitely did their part.

This thread was definitely a knee jerk reaction, like I said.

Charlie Weis is coaching a solid .500 football team.

i completely agree.

second guess charlie all you want, but when the game was on the line he went to his strength. i would have done the same thing if i were him. throwing down field was a good idea every play of the game for the irish. dont forget on 1st down they ran and michigan stuffed it. with 3 time outs, charlie didnt want a 3 and out. passing was smart, i thought.

im not a chuckles fan, but this game shouldnt put his job in danger. i think ND is a really good team this year.

It does appear that a flag needs to be thrown here. A violation has occurred, although I think the apology that was given will help at sentencing.

It's cool, bro.

And bo diddily has a good point. You just don't see that stuff happen in those situations, that's all.

Do I actually root for ND to stomp MSU, or do I root for MSU because of this "Big Ten fans must stick together" bullshit I see on other boards? Hmm..

i dont have much against ND. their running back was a little douchey giving the fans the "shhhhh" finger, but part of me liked that.

i really dont have much against MSU the school, but bukky and baker are really douchy, so ill root against msu.

not that it matters. nd is going to take them to the shed.

I never have a problem when a player does something like that. If I was pissed that he did it, I'd be hypocritical because I love it when my teams' players do it.

me too. they shouldnt flag that stuff. dont like it? shut him up with your own big pay.

the kid was just having a little fun after a huge play. heaven forbid someone have fun during a game.

of course if blue lost i'd probably been pretty mad.

What did the player do when they scored and went ahead? Was that the Shhhh' thing?

If your team just scores you should be able to jump around like a fucking maniac for 10 secs or so, without being flagged.

Weiss was an absolute idiot for not running it. Even with no gains you kill the clock and/or the other teams time outs. I'm just an average moron watching games on TV and I know that. The thing is that Weiss' ego is fatter than his gut and he has to prove his greatness instead of just winning the game like any average moron would. In the end he proved to be a world class moron.

Amazing game BTW.

a 3 and out of runs gives michigan the ball back with 3 minutes and good field position. having 2 timeouts helped the drive, but they had a chance without them.

one first down would have crippled michigan's chances. and we couldnt stop their air attack all day.

i think it would have been stupid not to go for it.

Michigan wasn't really stopping their run either. ND got 150 yards on the day and averaged 5 yards a carry. You're giving yourself a better chance at winning by running down the clock, killing time outs and if you pick up a first down or two you crush them (which again, averaging 5 yards a carry, could have happened).

I just think that type of over-thinking is silly. Keeping it simple and doing what you know will give you decent results makes more sense when you have a lead and some momentum. You say it was stupid to not go for it, but they didn't have to "go for it" because they already had it. They were winning. They had to protect the lead and end the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he did it. I like UofM and hate ND.

Solid, if you ask me.

Uhh...it's a FUPA. And that's what I (and my wife) shouted at him at the tunnel yesterday.

Frontbutt, FUPA. I don't care what terminology you choose - it's awesome.

The thing with Pete Carroll is too funny. Thanks for the laughs, Charlie. Good luck with your offensive coordinator gig in the NFL.
