This thing is nuts.
I'm glad that he didn't end up in A2.
He's certainly not the calibre of a Michigan Man.

View Full Version : Rick Pitino "situation" Glenn 08-12-2009, 02:43 PM This thing is nuts. I'm glad that he didn't end up in A2. He's certainly not the calibre of a Michigan Man. UxKa 08-12-2009, 03:42 PM I request a title change to "LOL@Pitino" Thanks and good day. Glenn 08-12-2009, 03:50 PM And now his lawyer says that he didn't pay for her "abortion" he simply "bought her some health insurance". b-diddy 08-12-2009, 03:53 PM if im a recruit, this makes me MORE LIKELY to want to play for him. WTFchris 08-12-2009, 03:53 PM I don't think it's a big deal (beyond the damage to his relationship with his wife). He didn't break any laws technically. It's slimy, but nothing that won't be forgotten over time IMO. Tahoe 08-12-2009, 05:18 PM He had an extra marital affair. He's a BBall coach. Who gives a shit. Cept for like Chris said, the wife thing. FillyCheezeSteak 08-12-2009, 06:11 PM If you were a parent of a young man and a rival coach came to your house and was talking about Rick Pitino and then mentioned his "sliminess" and his "affair" I would think that would be quite ridiculous. I dont see how it makes you a better coach to sit there and deface another coach, but I think it happens. WTFchris 08-12-2009, 06:19 PM well, certainly coaches are role models to their kids. But, with the proper spin he can fix that. He can talk about how he's learned from his mistakes and he knows better than anyone what you need to do in order to avoid those situations. He could almost make it a positive when talking to recruits. Tahoe 08-12-2009, 06:21 PM And its not like every parent he talks to is an angel or something. Glenn 08-12-2009, 07:53 PM If you guys haven't read the part of the story about her marrying Louisville's strength/conditioning coach, you must. Too weird. Tahoe 08-12-2009, 09:48 PM ^ And they're estranged, I think. Thats pretty estrange. |
