View Full Version : Rashard Lewis - suspended 10 games for "elevated testosterone" Glenn 08-06-2009, 04:25 PM And here we go. Kstat 08-06-2009, 04:32 PM helps us out a bit... Glenn 08-06-2009, 04:38 PM lol Timone 08-06-2009, 05:09 PM Love that athletes are still playing the "I didn't know it was banned by the league" card. Kstat 08-06-2009, 05:19 PM It would have been a more effective defense if he said "steroids? Have you ever watched me play defense?" Uncle Mxy 08-06-2009, 06:48 PM Anyone know the specific stuff he took that contained DHEA? Was that reported somewhere? Higherwarrior 08-06-2009, 07:06 PM it's always an accident, that's what i love. i didn't know what i put into my body was banned. yeah right. these guys are paid millions of dollars in a highly competitive pro sport. they understand every single thing they put in or on their body has the potential to get them into a lot of trouble. they are meticulous in how they look after their body, typically. and especially with all the cases over the last few years...there's NO WAY anybody can play that card anymore. but, if they play dumb it's quickly forgotten as opposed to if they admit guilt, it scars their rep a bit more. even if it is so obvious they are lying about 'not knowing'. it's like when clinton denied he messed with all those chicks. we knew he was lying and he knew we knew he was lying. but we all played along. until one fat bitch spoiled the fun. that always seems to be what happens in life. Glenn 08-07-2009, 08:13 AM Chad Ford (http://twitter.com/chadfordinsider): From ESPN's best researcher: Rashard Lewis' 10 game suspension will cost him $1.6 million in lost salary. That's one expensive drug test Fool 08-07-2009, 10:12 AM 160,000 a game? I hate the world sometimes. Zekyl 08-07-2009, 10:51 AM until one fat bitch spoiled the fun. :little tony: 160,000 a game? I hate the world sometimes. Eli Manning makes $500,000 a game. Peyton manning makes $886,000 a game. That means that if the Giants are playing the Colts, the Manning family makes $1.4m in 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon. Fool 08-07-2009, 10:56 AM Both guys, superbowl winning qb's. I don't complain about Shaq or Garnett making as much as they'll pay them. Shard? Good swingman. Zekyl 08-07-2009, 11:13 AM It just makes me sad. It would take me over two decades to make as much as they do in one Sunday afternoon. That's one expensive drug test According to hoopshype, he's got $18.8, $20.5, $22.1 and $23.8 million guaranteed through 2012/13. $1.6 million is not even a slap on the wrist. At that level of competition where a small edge might let you out-compete the next guy for a job, a roster spot, a big contract... a $1.6 million sin tax is nothing compared to the magnitude of the benefits. These days it's almost an irrational choice for pro athletes not to cheat when the penalties are so small and potential gains so huge. Black Dynamite 08-07-2009, 10:00 PM catch LBJ damnit Zekyl 08-09-2009, 11:55 AM catch LBJ damnit President Johnson? Pharaoh 08-10-2009, 08:04 AM According to hoopshype, he's got $18.8, $20.5, $22.1 and $23.8 million guaranteed through 2012/13. Holy Shit! For Rashard Lewis? Seriously? DAMN! And people are claiming that Ben Gordon is overpaid? Fuck! Lewis gets paid almost double what Gordon gets! |
