Tigers recall catcher Dusty Ryan from Toledo

The Detroit Tigers are recalling catcher Dusty Ryan from Triple-A Toledo.

Ryan was hitting .259 with seven homers and 23 RBIs in 46 games with the Mud Hens.

The Tigers also announced today that the club had come to terms with 16 players selected in this year’s first-year player draft. The list includes right-handed pitcher Kevan Hess (Western Michigan), catcher Eric Roof (Michigan State) and shortstop James Gulliver (Eastern Michigan).

The list did not include first-round pick Jacob Turner, the star right-hander out of Westminster Christian Academy in Creve Coeur, Mo.

In case you weren't paying attention (ie, in case you aren't Gl'enn), Dusty has a legit OPS of .929 in the bigs so far this season. That's almost Cabrera-esque.
