Has Brewer done anything in the NBA yet? I don't think I'm a fan of Ariza/Brewer/AA. Outside RIP we have absolutely no wing scoring and we already know RIP isn't a #1 go to guy on the wing. Hate to say it, but with all those specialty defenders I would rather sign Ben Gordon than Andre Miller

And you've got Dice as our only back-up big? Nothing against Dice but you need some depth.

i haven't come around. I still don't like the Gordon/Stuckey combo. Neither one creates shots for teammates and Stuckey doesn't have a good jumper yet.

But I'll take my chances with that over a group of defensive specialists.

You'll come around once Joe signs Gordon and trades Rip for a quality big.

Then Stuckey will be the creator/slasher while Gordon lets it "rip" from every angle...

What happened to Bynum in that depth chart?

I agree that we'd be way too shallow up front. We still have Bynum as the backup PG, so #6 could be BPA. If its a big, that's some more depth. If its a wing, he fights for backup time at the 2 and 3 with AA and Brewer. A PG better have some patience because he'll be sitting behind Miller and Bynum.

Brewer had a torn ACL last year. For a guy that relies on his athleticism for just about everything he does well, that's going to be tough to come back from. Pretty unimpressive numbers in his 2 seasons:

RBS: 3.6

AST: 1.4

I know he's a pretty solid defensive guy and numbers don't show that, but those are some terrible numbers. Maybe he was gearing up for a breakout year and had that injury that derailed him. He had a ton of potential but that doesn't mean anything if he doesn't capitalize on it.

I'd love to get my hands on Al Jefferson, although he had an ACL tear just like Brewer last year. His game is the opposite of Brewer's: all offense, not much defense. I'd still take a very serious look at that deal before seeing what else was out there.

I wish there was a way to get Kevin Love away from them. All out hustle guy that still puts up solid numbers and plays a great game.

I guess we do get a legit scoring wingman who can create for others. PG can score and dish well. Jefferson can hold his own in the paint and we still have our defensive specialists

Still don't see the point of Ariza and Brewer. If you are trading for Brewer, you may as well ignore Ariza and use that space to get another big man. It could be a FA, or it could be a trade (amir for a larger contract).

Or scrap the Miller idea too. you'd have 14 mil to add a big man without Miller and Ariza. You could still trade some guys for a vet PG after the signing (like Amir and Kwame for Hinrich maybe).

I just don't see the sense in Brewer/AA/Ariza all on the same squad. They overlap way too much.

Joe wins executive of the year if that is his lineup, but I doubt Minnesota or Golden State agree to those deals.

I've suggested going after Andre before, but it was always trading Rip or Amir+something. Never just Amir for him. I didn't think Minnesota would be looking to trade Jefferson either, but now there are reports that they're looking to move him to Phoenix.

I would be fine throwing Rip into the deal if they insist on getting more in return, then using the high pick on a SG like Harden. Perhaps we could take on a shitty contract from GS?
