yet another failed eddie murphy character. that wasn't even close to being funny.

i love eddie, probably because i remember him from 'raw' and those good old days. but he's been an embarassment for about 15 years or so now. clinging to the spotlight with ridiculous movies with completely unfunny characters.

oh well- whatever makes you money i guess. but i won't be giving any of mine towards any of his projects, i know that much.

#1 it's Charlie Murphy.

#2 it's incredibly funny. Are you kidding me?

guess we have a very different sense of humor. i don't find it the least bit funny. it's just stupid, juvenile and extremely lame IMO.

he's trying too hard to be funny and none of his routine is the least bit entertaining to me.

but hey- don't let me stop you from enjoying it. i'm sure some stuff that i find funny you might find ridiculous. to each, their own!

You can always tell the difference between Charlie and Eddie: Charlie has the "I swear to God in heaven above, I will stab you in your sleep" eyes. Eddie just looks like he's on a Xanax vacation.

I'm looking forward to this, specifically because it looks blatantly retarded, and I suspect Charlie Murphy is way funnier than his brother. His "Prince" True Hollywood Story still makes me laugh until I cry every time I watch it.

It is a shame Eddie went and fucked up his entire career.

He could have been Chris Rock before anyone knew about Chris Rock!

Instead Eddie is just that guy who used to be The Man, but is now the also-ran.

Charlie Murphy? Never heard of him. Maybe Charlie don't do Oz?

Eddie decided once he had kids that he never wanted to make a movie that his kids couldn't go see. Kind of took the edge off things.

but did he have to make movies that NONE of us could ever go see?

I understand wanting to do kids movies when he had kids.

I don't understand not doing any other movies that his fans would want to see.

Blouses.

INTERVIEWER: And then what happened?

CHARLIE MURPHY: (with completely straight face) This is gonna sound crazy, but after the game Prince took us in and, uh, he made us pancakes.
