Big Swami 05-12-2009, 10:40 AM This thread is Ipecac.
WTFchris 05-12-2009, 10:52 AM I appreciate that he's not sitting on my lap right now.
Zekyl 05-12-2009, 11:04 AM I appreciate that he can somehow jump high enough to dunk.
Darth Thanatos 05-12-2009, 11:31 AM Why does every NBA player have a chest tat?
MoTown 05-12-2009, 01:22 PM I appreciate those boobies. MOTORBOAT!

It used to be that I couldn't stand the big baby at all and loved laughing at him getting ripped on so much here. And then I heard his post-game interview after hitting the winning shot the other day. I've lost all ability to hate or laugh at him. I would honestly feel guilty doing it now.
Zekyl 05-12-2009, 01:49 PM Why's that? I didn't hear it.
GrantBell 05-12-2009, 02:07 PM He looks fruity.
Glenn 05-12-2009, 02:18 PM This is truly testing the limits of the "appreciation thread rule".
The guy does have an infectious smile, don't you think GrantBell?
Zekyl 05-12-2009, 02:49 PM He just looks like a big dumb happy animal (that's supposed to be a compliment, I have a friend that's nicknamed Big Dumb Animal and he's proud of it)
GrantBell 05-12-2009, 06:04 PM Well I think the guy is a very solid player.
That's my appreciation.
He does look fruity though.
Glenn 05-13-2009, 11:58 AM Dude is actually kind of clutch, too.
I wonder if Pharaoh wishes that :our: 2nd round picks would turn out this good?
Big Swami 05-13-2009, 12:01 PM Appreciation thread rules in effect:
I find his fatness endearing, sort of like Chunk and Sloth had a black manbaby.
It's a very boyish smile he has.
gusman 05-13-2009, 03:35 PM didn't he cry on the sidelines, the guy just looks crazy actually kind of freaks me out
Glenn 05-13-2009, 05:07 PM Restricted Free Agent, btw
Pharaoh 05-13-2009, 09:12 PM Dude is actually kind of clutch, too.
I wonder if Pharaoh wishes that :our: 2nd round picks would turn out this good?
Of course I wish our second round picks turned out this well.
Don't you? Doesn't everyone?
But I've done my Draft thing - it's posted in some other thread
Higherwarrior 05-13-2009, 10:03 PM could've had him, but we took afflalo which i hated then and even now. made no sense. don't get me wrong- i like the kid personally and he's an OK 9th or 10th man. but big baby was right there!
he was once thought of as a potential lottery pick but his lack of height caused a lot of people to downgrade him. stupid, stupid, STUPID!
Pharaoh 05-14-2009, 06:23 AM I'm not gonna hate on AA just yet. Big Baby looks to have an impressive career in front of him (some of his games in the playoffs have been pretty damn good) but we don't know what AA could become if we give him another season or 2.
If we got AA a real Coach it might help, too.
Glenn 05-14-2009, 06:48 AM Would you rather have BB or Dejuan Blair?
Glenn 05-14-2009, 06:51 AM Boston is likely in lux tax land, so if they want to keep BB, they'll have to pay double.
Pharaoh 05-14-2009, 08:28 AM I'd rather have Big Baby, depending on what kind of money in would take.
But that's more to do with what he's shown he can do on an NBA level as opposed to what Blair has done in college (which I haven't seen)
What has Blair done in college? No offense to any of you guys but you have the ability to see a ton of games every year and come Draft time you guys are as clueless as me and the scouts.
Surely someone has seen some of these potential Draftees and is willing to state his case for Blair, Johnson, Lawson etc?
Zekyl 05-14-2009, 10:22 AM I've only seen a few of Lawson's games but he looks like he could be a solid pro if he has the drive to keep working on his game. He's not going to be a star, but he works hard, runs the team well, and looks to pass first. He seemed to know what to do when he couldn't get things going with the offense (dump it to Hansborough ?sp? down low) or when TH wasn't on his game (take over the game and run all over, drive the lane, make things happen). His shot looked a bit funky though and he's a bit small, plus I couldn't tell you a single thing about his defensive game. Again, I only saw 2-3 NC games this year, though, so that scouting report means nothing.
Higherwarrior 05-14-2009, 05:59 PM lawson is no will bynum. but he could be a nice little player.
