Dalembert requested a trade from the Sixers.

That team is a mess all of a sudden.

Theo and Andre Miller skipped the final team meeting and both are free agents expected to leave.

Samuel Dalembert wants out of the Sixers, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer

Maybe "requested a trade" is a bit of a leap on my part. He did request one earlier this year, it says.

Before the NBA's trading deadline, Dalembert requested a trade, believing he was not being used properly. Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski tried, unsuccessfully, to trade Dalembert, who will be paid approximately $11.4 million next season and $12.2 million the year after.

Dalembert's contract is about as desired, and easy to ship, as a boat anchor.

"The frustration came down to, [in] the beginning, we were losing and I wasn't playing much," Dalembert said.

--though I'm sure he wouldn't be pissed to be peddled now.

Dalembert will be tough to move

Let's just assume they are one of the teams calling. What else would they need to include for us to take Dalembert?

One 1st round pick, unprotected? Two?

What have they got that we might want

(And Glenn: Andre Miller in a sign and trade is not something we want)

Fool

Dalembert isn't worth 1 first round pick. Guy grabs 8 boards a game and fouls too much to stay on the court. He's Amir with playing time.

Uncle Mxy

It's our fault that Dalembert got paid what he did, by performing relatively well in a playoff series against us where the refs didn't call many fouls.

Obviously Miami wants to sign to an extension, Cleveland wants to sign Lebron to an extension and this just in from our Canadian affiliate...

Toronto want Bosh to sign an extension.

if what alston did is a 1 game suspension, dwight howard should've gotten 2. i think alston deserved a fine, and a lot of grief for acting like a bitch. but that is not a suspension, i don't care what the rule says.

howard's action was much worse in severity and intent.

It's a shame too, only because those in favour of an age limit will probably use him as a reason to keep it in place and stop talented players from earning money for themselves instead of colleges and TV networks.

In suit, Hamilton alleges $1 million theft

Associated Press

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Detroit Pistons star Richard Hamilton is accusing his former business manager of stealing about $1 million from him, according to a federal lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania.

The lawsuit was filed May 18 against Josh Nochimson, who is also at the center of recruiting allegations at Connecticut, Hamilton's alma mater.

Hamilton accuses Nochimson of using his credit card to purchase airline flights, game tickets and other items.

Nochimson's attorney says he hasn't seen the lawsuit and could not comment.

Hamilton led the Huskies to a national title in 1999. Nochimson was a student manager for the team.

Nochimson was accused earlier this year of providing improper gifts to entice a basketball recruit to sign with UConn.

I do recall that Brand at one time was an automatic 20/10 player. Are his injuries so bad that Arnie couldn't "fix" him?

Boozer is a 20/10 player as well and could probably be had for less than 15 mil a year (plus you give up no assets in a trade).

Ideally we'd be able to do a 3 way deal with Toronto that lands us Bosh. What would Utah get in that deal?
