Porcello will be in the rotation.

Perry in the bullpen.

Robertson to the bullpen.

As long as they aren't being rushed like Bondo was (and don't develop all their pitches)...this is great.

BRING UP DUSTY RYAN!

Wow, I didn't think either were coming up. I guess the injury to Zumaya made room for Perry, we'll see what he's got as the likely setup man on many occasions since Rodney can't get consistent.

What's the rotation now?
Verlander
Jackson
Bondo
Porcello
Miner

This is mostly about DD and Leyland's grace period being over.

I hope they're ready.

You forgot Galarraga(sp?) unless he's hurt. I think Bondo is temporarily out of the rotation and Miner (or Porcello) is getting his spot.

No lefties in the rotation? Oh...

This is just silly. Even if he's 100% ready to take the world by storm, you wait until may to stave off free agency.

Isn't that exactly what's happening? Porcello wan't even allowed to throw his curve balls last year.

Or, Bondo is just bad at that pitch. Happens to guys in the minors all the time.

Maybe he's only up to get a start or 2 until Bonderman is back from the DL. I knew there was someone I was missing. Plug Armando into that #3 spot

From a pure baseball stand point, this makes no sense.

Most teams avoid doing this like the Rays who are starting David Price in AAA and the Orioles with Matt Wieters.

This could make Ryan Perry & Rick Porcello "Super Two" players, and make them arbitration eligible much sooner.

This could be a pure PR ploy.

If Porcello is the 5th starter, then he will start on Opening Day (since we open the season with a 4 game series in Toronto).

Fans will pay to see Porcello, and with only 9 home games in the month of April, it's going to draw some crowds.

Off to the phrases that should be used more.
