I'm considering getting NBA 2K9 for my PS3....anybody here play?

I and Irony both dabble in NBA 2k9. Moodini is more of an NCAA Football guy as is Muhme I think.

Other games to buy depends on what genre you like.

Also I never knew elite's were capable of RROD...thats fucked up.

Madden is usually a solid game as well. Littlebig Planet is a pretty fun game if you're into puzzle like adventure games. I'm looking forward to Resident Evil 5.

got little big planet, as well as 2K9...hope that holds me over. Hope it looks as good as the 360 version.

How do PS3 owners tolerate this choppy, glitchy half-assed version of NBA 2K9?

Irony plays it religiously and i have no issues with it. But I don't play online much with it.

I have to dumb down and slow down everything I do with it. I have to make every move half a second earlier to compensate for the button lag.

I'm going to grit my teeth and deal with it, because I have no other choice, but....damn.

Anybody that wants to team up for 5-on-5 sometime, let me know.

Sorry if they hosed the ps3 version in comparison to the 360 version. Sounds like 2k Sports has some explaining to do to ya Kstat. One thing I'll say about EA is that they are now(at first they were not) pretty even with their ps3 and 360 version of their sports games. Madden is pretty much on point on both systems.

If you play baseball, MLB 09 the show will be here on march 3rd and that is truly one of the best sports series out there. Lately only online gaming i've been doing is Socom, Madden, Tekken dark Resurrection, and occasionally Little Big Planet, MGS4, and Warhawk.

I've had warhawk since it came out....just kind of got bored with the aimless wandering. There's never any real teamwork involved, because nobody ever uses a headset.

That's my main problem with PS3 games in general, really. There's never any teamwork involved.

NCAA Football 09 (still playing it), Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2 comes out on Feb. 27 and it's supposed to be sick, and I'm hearing good things about MLB 09: The Show which comes out in early March. I'm going to buy Resident Evil 5 for it on March 13. A lot of people (Gutz) hype SOCOM and Little Big Planet, but I don't know about that.

more the software companies faults(the headset setup in COD4 is very anti-community). Socom has no issue using team work, but it also has the most accessible headset setup.

Your best bet with games like Warhawk is to set up games ahead of time with some people on a ps3 forum or join a clan. Either way i dont play alot of online shooters, so i dont worry about it much.

On call of duty if i did need to communicate with non-headset people, I just lead the team myself(they can still hear you usually). Got mixed results, but it was better than nothing(though COD doesnt typically require team work in chaotic death matches)..

As far shooters go, finding a clan to join is the best way to improve the communication issues.

Also Killzone 2 is sick(played the demo). I'm interested in how the online plays out, i've heard nothing but good things about it though. Speaking of MGS4, Mood you ever try it online?
