View Full Version : Threet to transfer....
Wilfredo Ledezma 02-12-2009, 10:40 PM No official release yet, but that seems to be the news on Rivals & Scout...
This will be the second time in 3 years he will transfer. I can't blame him, he needs to be in a pro-style offense.
At 6'6'' and limited mobility, the writing was on the wall, and remember he transferred from Ga Tech before they hired RR, so if he had known, he may not have come here in the first place...
Regardless, best wishes...
Jethro34 02-12-2009, 11:12 PM This is the first I've seen, but I can't blame him.
Even though everything publicly said "Threet is our starter for the beginning of the season", everything else said "At the very first moment we believe one of the two freshmen QB's is even close to ready, Threet will have a full 3 years of nothing but clipboard holding."
Hurts the depth and experience though. I've heard he's been working with Tate helping him learn some things this semester. At least there's that. Tate probably already understand parts of the offense better, though Threet is extremely intelligent.
Glenn 02-13-2009, 07:49 AM Wow, Wil actually beat bukdow to this scoop.
Wilfredo Ledezma 02-14-2009, 09:10 AM Threet's looking at Eastern Michigan according to TheFort
Glenn 02-14-2009, 09:12 AM Dude is going to be 30 before he gets done with school.
Like Chris Weinke.

Actually, Jethro has a point, buk.
Threet was a Valedictorian in high school.

No, he doesn`t have a point. Neils Bohr was "extremely intelligent". Being the valedictorian of your high school class (nowadays) just means you did your homework and took your studies seriously. Give me a fucking break. I scored a 30 on my ACT and I don`t consider myself "extremely intelligent". I took a couple AP classes and paid attention. Big deal. And no, I wasn`t valedictorian of my class. That went to an Asian girl who went to MIT. She was not only pretty fucking smart, but driven as hell, too.
Glenn 02-14-2009, 06:22 PM So did you bang her?

I don't recall assuming or asking you if you were...
Timone 02-14-2009, 11:39 PM So did you bang her?
phenomenal question.
Glenn 02-15-2009, 10:01 AM I mean, if you don't bang the driven as hell Asian valedictorian, then why even tell the story?

Wizzle 04-27-2009, 03:37 PM Source: Threet to transfer from Michigan
By Joe Schad
ESPN.com
Quarterback Steven Threet, a redshirt freshman who started eight games for Michigan last season, has decided to transfer to Arizona State, a source close to Threet said Monday.
Threet also considered Oregon State but developed a relationship with the Arizona State coaching staff and had an excellent visit over the weekend.
Threet wanted to fit into a pro-style offense after having been previously enrolled at both Georgia Tech and Michigan.
Glenn 04-27-2009, 04:05 PM I wonder where he'll go next?
Zip Goshboots 04-27-2009, 04:39 PM I wonder where Tate Forcier will go next.
Wilfredo Ledezma 04-28-2009, 09:06 AM I wouldn't want to play for Dennis Erickson.

Why not? Is it all the winning that bothers you? Rather go 3-9 at Michigan? I know, Threet should stay at UM, give up on his dream of playing football, and get that prestigious Michigan degree, shouldn't he?
WTFchris 04-28-2009, 10:51 AM I wasn't impressed with Threet anyway. He never looked like a championship QB anyway (or would ever be).

All the winning? Do you even know what you're talking about?
UM was expected to win how many games last year? Yeah, 3-9 missed the mark by a mile.
ASU, on the other hand, was ranked in the preseason top 20 I believe. That's before they lost 6 in a row en route to a 5-7 season. Considerring how well they were supposed to do, I would imagine that was actually more disappointing than UM's horrible season.
What else you got? Aside from his time at Miami (a team that won before him with Jimmy Johnson and after him with Butch Davis), he's 100-65. That's a pretty weak record when you look at his opponents.
