Apparently North Carolina Coach Dean Smith instructed Stackhouse to take Hill out in order to preserve the UNC's position at the top of the card. Hill bolted from Detroit, not because he wanted to play in Orlando but due to "unsafe working environment". The league hushed it all up because... A: The Jordan Legacy must be preserved at all costs.
