Anyone else get a census survey? I was just ignoring it but they keep sending more threatening letters saying I have to fill it out so finally I was like "fuck it" and I'm filling it out....some of the questions are just ridiculous, and they come out of nowhere:

For Example:

a. Is this person deaf? (Check yes or no)

b. Is this person blind? (Check yes or no)

c. Because of a physical, mental, or emotional condition, does this person have serious difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions?
(Check yes or no)

d. Does this person have difficulty climbing stairs? (Check yes or no)

Wtf? Can you tell which of the above doesn't seem to fit?

A decade ago, the census people sent out a surprisingly aggressive person to my place because I hadn't filled out the extended survey. They were trying to be a hardass, trying to push me to fill out the form then and there. I had some choice words for them because I'd gotten the form less than two weeks beforehand, and I had every intention of filling it out when I did my other bills.

As inaccurate and overly expensive as the census is, it's an incredibly useful sociological tool. Every study of the populace is either tied to or contrasted against census results.

For c and d... does being drunk when you fill out the survey count?
