I have an old TV with minor sentimental value (it was the grand prize in a little contest I won) that I mostly use for a region-free DVD player. I wouldn't mind spending 20-30 bucks to hook it up for digital broadcast TV. Just this week, as our government delayed the DTV transition citing lack of funds for those $40 coupons, I finally got mine.

I haven't really explored my options here at all. Ideally, I'd like something with a usable universal remote that can control the TV and DVD player. I'm not driving an HDTV, so I don't care much about HDMI, super-pristine display quality, etc. I am not planning to fuck around with an outdoor antenna, so a quality indoor one would be preferred.

Any recommendations or non-recommendations? Thoughts?
