benjamin button sucked, there is no way is deserves as much attention as it is garnering. The movie was very slow and long. I felt like I was watching a poor man's version of forrest gump. What are people thinking? Gran Turino is 2 times the movie Benjamin Button is.

Eastwood already received a "memorial" Oscar for being Clint Eastwood in 1995, in addition to the 4 other Oscars he has. He's really hurting.

I don't really like Clint Eastwood, but I like the movie is all.

Frost Nixon wasn't a good movie. If it's up for Best Picture then it's not a great year.

I think he was good. I'm pretty sure he was nominated for rating's purposes though. By nominating him they just gave the teenage girl demographic reason to watch the Oscars.

I know it didn't get a nomination, but The Bank Job was a great movie in '08...

My wife saw it with a friend and said it sucked too. She mentioned Forrest Gump too but said it was boring.

yeah I felt kind of like the steamboat was suppose to be the jenny 1 boat. It seemed as if they watched forrest gump and made the outline to that movie. Heath ledgers performance as the joker was amazing, even though I do not think the film should be as highly rated as it is (top ten all time imdb).

top ten all time? wow. I thought he did the part well also. It wasn't a great movie, but pretty good for sure.

It was actually #1 on IMDB for a brief time.

#14 is a high quality effort

1.) you don't go anywhere positive with anything thats not done by your idols it seems kid.

Kudos to Tropic Thunder. Downey JR was deserving of the nom.

I'm glad Dark Knight didn't get a best picture nod. It was way too hyped by people who can't judge a movie for what it is and only believe the hype. It wasn't horrible, but I feel like I can reference something now other than saying 'It just wasn't that great'.

By who? IMDB? I think you've been engaged in the internet a lil' too hard lately if you take that w/o a grain of salt. I'm so glad i got to watch the movie before they hyped it up. Because it's apparent that people are going to base their judgment of it on that unfortunately.
