Several media outlets, including ESPN and NFL.com, are announcing that Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has been named the Lions' new head coach.

Schwartz was a finalist, along with Miami Dolphins assistant coach Todd Bowles. Schwartz and Bowles are the only two candidates who are believed to have had a second interview. That second interview included a meeting with owner William Clay Ford
