Now that I think about it... DM, and the maker's of the video failed. It's an Impreza STI, not a WRX. A Impreza WRX is a lesser version of the Impreza STI. Up until a few years ago it was referred to as a WRX STI incorrectly, but if I remember right this vid is of a 2006 Impreza, and by then they had officially dropped WRX off of the STI name.

The Subaru Impreza STI (formerly WRX STi, officially changed in 2006)[1] is the highest standard-edition trim in the Subaru Impreza compact car line, produced by Japanese automaker Subaru.

See Impreza is the model, much like Mustang. 2.5, WRX and STI are the class much like Coupe, GT and Cobra. You don't see people driving a GT Cobra just like you don't see people driving a WRX STI. If I'm correct, you cannot find the letters WRX on an STI, because it isn't one. Subaru probably just does that on their site for the ignorant consumers who don't know what an Impreza is but want to be Colin McRae.

Edmunds.com calls it the WRX STi, as well.

http://blogs.edmunds.com/roadtests/2008/05/2008-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-are-you-talkin-to-me.html

So does Car and Driver:

And Road and Track:

Though you are correct that most simply call it the STi, it's full name does contain WRX, of which it's based. The Ken Block vehicle was NOT an Imprezza, which was nowhere near the WRX. Back then, the disparity between the two models was huge (like the Lancer and the Evo), with the Imprezza being every bit a cheapo base model. The WRX, essentially, only shared the "basic" frame design and several interior appointments, and really that's about it. So, to call it the Imprezza STi without the "WRX" is incorrect. It's okay to simply call it the "STi", but WRX STi is also correct.

That's what it says on the car. On the car.

Is that Vid considered just drifting or a combination of styles?

Are you saying the greatest minds of the automotive world... are wrong?

That's like saying Bukdow knows nothing, when in fact he know quite a bit about very little.

I know what you're saying Ux. Like the VW GTI is really a Rabbit on steriods, but nowhere on the vehicle does it say "Rabbit GTI". However, the complete terminology would be Rabbit GTI (or Golf GTI is Europe), since it is based on the Rabbit. Or Corvette ZR1 (my favorite car). You CAN say "ZR1"... most enthusiasts do. But the complete name is Corvette ZR1.
