I can't wait for the Ledezma/bukdow post game tumult.

UGA was definitely the better team. MSU played pretty well, but the offense was stifled by UGA`s defense. MSU kept Moreno in check much better than I thought they would. Too bad MSU`s offense was so ineffective.

Overall, not horrible. It will be interesting to see what a change in QB does next year.

I saw Cousins play some QB for MSU in the game. Did Hoyer get hurt at one point or something? Or was it just one of those UM deals where Dantonio decided to play them both?

Hoyer did tweak his knee a bit. However, I think Dantonio planned on getting Cousins into the game to some degree regardless.

Keep in mind that UM fans have been nothing but classy following this loss.

True. But, what do they have to be snarky about? UGA was the better team and one of the best in the country. MSU held Green and Massaquoi to a combined one catch and held Moreno to 67 yards. Granted, the offense was fairly anemic, but MSU was by no means blown out. This game was a definite positive step forward. The future is very bright for MSU football.

No, they were not. Massive underachievers, and a fantastic opportunity for MSU to take down an elite SEC programs not playing to it's abilities blown.

The only reason Georgia stuck around in the top 20 most of the year was their preseason #1 ranking and the media manlove of the SEC. Don't get me wrong -- I'm a fan of Georgia, and one of the many who felt shafted when the Rose Bowl selected Illinois rather than Georgia to combat SC in the game last year. But, a wildly unpredictible squad in 2008 that an upstart Spartan team COULD have beaten.

I agree with ya Denny. That Georgia team was a fraudulent pile of poop. That was a game Sparty needed. The only way to see that as a positive step forward is because they've made a bowl game two years in a row for the first time in like, ever or something like that.
Dantonio's recruiting is shit so far, and he is starting to lose the talent that John L left him.
MSU is going to be just another boring, plodding Big Ten team as long as Dantonio is there. Yup, he's done a pretty good job so far, turned the losing culture around, no more meltdowns, no more burning couches. But they have peaked. Sparty is looking at 7-5, 8-4 for their ceiling from now on.
That game was there for the taking, and they failed. No way that's a positive.

bukdow: quit bringing the douche.

Well, I was just messin' around. Taking the piss out of Tre posts is "in" here nowadays.

I've been calling Georgia a fraud for weeks. This whole game was ranked as a steaming pile of crap by most pundits since it was announced, based on the fact that neither team was anywhere near as good as their record. They had talent and were opportunistic in some games, but both had two very embarrassing blowout losses when they faced real teams.
