Will Campbell will be a flop if he goes to UM. Hell, he might be a flop regardless of where he goes. The kid has serious attitude and work ethic problems. He needs a coaching staff that will bust his ass and make him accountable. However, I don`t think the kid will respond to that either. This idiot has Marques Slocum written all over him. Too bad.

Why? Because I am echoing the sentiment of many? The kid has huge problems with attitude and work ethic. Considering RR`s history, this is not a good fit. I think the kid would be best going to USC. Pete Carrol is able to deal with these very talented yet retarded types. UM or Alabama (which is the odds on favorite) would be a disaster. MSU would be a disaster because Dantonio would put his foot in the kid`s ass and then Campbell would whine all the way home to his momma`s black-eyed peas.

In the end, bukdow, people like YOU are revealed by their words. There is more than a hint of racism in your rant there. My Daddy always told me: give a man enough rope, and he'll hang himself. In this "no holds barred" forum, where a guy is allowed to speak whatever is on his mind, you have tied your own noose.

YOU might as well be from Alabama or Mississippi, where they only tolerate Will Campbell's brown skin because of his athletic ability. You make me sick bukdow, as does anyone of your ilk. The blood coursing through my veins boils with hatred whenever I see statements that go beyond sport into casting judgments and making ridiculous statements that show a complete lack of respect for someone based solely on the amount of melanin in his system.

It's not likely, but you should be ashamed of yourself.

Yes, I think Campbell is a big dumb, non-Obama-like black kid. I think he does an injustice to his people by acting like a fucking thug-retard. Not racist, just a realist. Its time brother pulled his pants up.

As far as his ability to play football, watch the tape of Cass Tech against Southeastern. Campbell is a complete no show except when he hits the SE QB late expressly to knock him out of the game. Campbell is a talented kid, but he is a real headcase.

Here is a insiders take:

"Keep in mind...I saw Campbell dominate a lot of kids at the NIKE....However, the kid he tossed aside that everyone was talking about is named Andrew Crawford and he has one offer.....Monmouth.

Later that day Campbell had to be taken aside and pulled from the drills due to his piss poor attitude. I doubt anyone reported that, but yes it happened. The coaches told him he was done due to his disrespectful attitude toward everyone around him.

I was standing within ear-shot and a coach came over and started talking about attitude and respect. What does Campbell do after this? He gets shirts made up of himself tossing the kid aside. UM fans ate this up, many started using it as their sig pic on posts. I really have no problem with fans using the pic (it was a cool pic), but a player making his own shirt and getting kicked out of the drills?

I was kind of pissed when he got kicked out as a few kids like Mark Brizinski and Malcolm Bunche seemed to want a shot at him and I wanted to see those battles.

Over the years I think I have gotten pretty good at evaluating talent at the NIKE. I loved high level kids like Justin Boren, Tyrod Taylor, and Devier Posey, but I also loved kids like Steve Slaton, Brent Vinson and Steve Hull who were unknowns when they walked into the NIKE Camp. Campbell's performance atthe NIKE, puts him in an Elite Class, but the red flags went up for me that day."

Does every white kid who fucks up commit an "injustice to his people"? Funny how race is never brought up in that context unless it is a black man.

And evaluating or commenting on a kid's talent or attitude is one thing, but saying he'll "whine all the way hom to his momma's black eyed peas" is another. It shows your "true colors", and sorry, but your true colors would seem to work nicely with the Union Jack flag that the greasy fucks in South Carolina would like to look out over their state capitol.

bukdow, come on now: don't insult our intelligence. This is first and foremost a "UM Vs MSU" thing, and second, a chance for you to reveal your hate-filled, racist soul. You outed yourself, now either wear it proudly, or apologize and disappear forever.

I`ll tell you why it doesn`t affect a white kid or his people when the white kid acts like a retard the same way it does when a black kid does, because the black kid and the black people are already at a societal disadvantage and having high profile black people act like a bunch of ignorant thugs continues unhealthy stereotypes and hampers the development of black people in general.

I am very happy young black people finally have somebody worth a damn to look up to in Barack Obama. The rap stars and athletes have done a real number on the black male psyche. Frederick Douglas has been shitting himself in his grave watching what has been passed of as black "leaders".

You very typically lack the cultural awareness that marks so many who attempt to convey an attitude that they really care about what is going on in other communities.
Take rap and athletes: The vast majority of them are good, good people who are out to do the same things as everyone else: Find an avenue to display their talens and make enough money to buy an SUV, a house, and take care of their families. Yeah, Black men have kinda been PUSHED into the areas of entertainment and sports because they faced many a shut door when it came to wanting to be teachers, doctors, lawyeres and engineers throughout the history of this country. And the schools they were forced to go to, and are still forced to go to? Crap. Pick up a Jonathan Kozol book or two on the educational system in this country (and then read it) before your next attempt at dissecting the problems that minorities face in the U.S.

You are one of those people who is looking for reasons to knock African Americans and the first bogus burden you put on Black Men is that they ALL have to carry the weight of being a role model to "their race", and are allowed no room to be just an ordinary guy. Then when they fuck up, you shout out some sanctimonius BS that they are bringing down their people. That's because you choose to judge blacks by the actions of a few. Same with rappers and athletes. Yeah, many take the easy way: sex, violence sells here and its a quick way to make a buck. HELLO! Welcome to rock 'n roll, mainstream Holywood movies and TV shows, and the American Media. Why are edgy TV shows on cable networks garnering huge ratings? because they can show Tony Soprano enemotionally sawing a guys dick off while getting a blow job, and because they can show some nudity and utter an occasional F-bomb, and THAT'S what we want to see and hear. But yeah, black rappers who talk about butt-fucking some beeyatch are setting their people back and setting a bad example.

Sorry buk: You are full of fail, but keep rationalizing. Did you have to take a bunch of classes on minimizing and rationalization on your way to those two college degrees?

Jethro34

First of all, as b-diddy stated, it's AN insiders take. Even university.com can teach you that. But then they don't offer degrees in chopping wood with fellow cult outcasts. I realize your magazines and that there internet are the only connection you have with the outside world due to your severe social disorders (which make themselves terribly evident every time you log in), but it doesn't mean we want any part of it, nor are we concerned that you're jealous of someone else's talent.

Second, who is the insider? It's the first time you've ever given any kind of source, and even then it's unnamed.

So the kid has a bad attitude because he doesn't respect the crappy players that are lining up against him? Most kids that are 5 stars and dominate everyone don't exactly run around helping them up and apologizing for going all out.

Face it, if Campbell had State at the top of his list you would be raving about him and saying he has a nasty streak (something people actually WANT in a lineman) and that it's a perfect fit for Dantonio.
But because you like to criticize UM for going to a system that supposedly favors speedy lightweight midgets, suddenly he's not going to work here? He needs someone that's in his face? Have you ever heard of Barwis? People leave UM because they can't handle in-your-face. Why do you suddenly think they would change and coddle Campbell?

I agree with some of what you have said. Mainly, the hurdles society has placed in front of Black people who pursue professional careers and that sex, drugs and dumbassery are prevalent in American society. However, when the vast majority of the prominent figures in the Black community are engaged in said dumbassery, there is a problem. And its not a problem that can be fixed by society. Its a problem the Black community needs to address itself. As Spike Lee said, the Black community is like a barrel of crabs. Anytime someone tries to raise himself up, the others grab him down (i.e. he is a "Tom"). The easy way out for any Black kid is the gangsta-gangsta bullshit because he is seen as "representin'". That is bullshit.

Luckily, things are beginning to change in the Black community and the same old tired stereotypes of a "Black Man" are fading and being replaced by the "power" attained through education and social integration. So, yes, when a prominent young Black man chooses to act like a fucking douchebag, he not only hinders himself, but the progress of the larger Black community as a whole.

If you don`t like my stance on the issue, you sure aren`t going to appreciate Barack Obama`s stance. He is the person I lifted the "Brother needs to pull up his pants." line from.

In short, Zippy, your perspective is dated and serves to do no more than enable a culture of juvenile ignorance in the Black community.

And, IMO, it's less the black rappers and atheletes than it is the white media portraying them as "defective" rather than simply as "human".

Plaxico Burress had a rough childhood, no doubt. But the media doesn't seem to get that, amongst hundreds of NFL players there's always going to be a few Pacmans and Plaxicos.

BTW, John Rocker is white, so is Sean Avery... but my psyche appears just fine.

From what I heard, Campbell`s technique was horrible (i.e. he played too upright and got zero push), he played slow, took plays off and overall, looked like the head-case douchebag that he is. All in all, the defense looked like shit. I think UM will finish below 6-6 this year.

I don't know if he is a head case, bukdow, and I'm guessing you are saying that because he is African American, and you are a charter member of the KKK.

What I will say is that yes--he has a long way to go. I mean, he should be thinking about going to the senior prom right about now, but he took the brave step to graduate early and enroll at Michigan.

He has dropped about 30 lbs since he got there and by all reports is quite the student of the game and is getting much hands on, one-on-one from Coach Tall. He is probably a bit worn and a bit overwhelmed by all that he is going though.

Detroit PSL is a horrible football league. The kids are vastly under coached, and Michigan High School football is as archaic as any in the country. The limits they put on coaching and the kids for practice time really puts Michigan kids about one year behind most others--especially kids from the south. When it comes to PSL kids--holy shit--they ALL need to redshirt, most do, before they see the light of day. Nick Perry didn't get a wink at USC last season, and after two years Rojo is finally starting to shine for the Mighty Condoms of Troy.

That's why MSU is and has been poop for 40 years, buk. They only recruit Michigan and Ohio leftovers, with the occassional sprinkled in from other states. I believe Dantonio is going to concentrate heavily on Michigan and Ohio leftovers, and that is why he has peaked. Look for MSU to be a consistent 7-5, 8-4--never better, except maybe every four years when they have a bunch of fifth year seniors they can put out there and catch other teams in a down year (like UM last year). But of course, when Sparty went up against the likes of OSU, PSU, Georgia, and even Cal, they were out of their league by a country mile. Even UM had them tied at the end of three quarters.

You Sparties are laughable. Two mediocre years, the kind you've made fun of at Michigan's expense numerous times, and you all walk around with boners talking smack and acting as if you should be compared to the '85 Bears.

I've had enough of it, and I hope you all die soon. Horribly.

The above bolded statement is about as gay as the canker-sore on the entrance to your rectum. Give me a break. You are trying to make this kid out as some sort of Anne of Greengables. By the way the kid acts to his rhetoric, it is obvious this kid has serious attitude problems. In addition, his work ethic and technique has been documented as being very poor. These problems coupled with the witless UM coaching staff and you have a monumental bust.

Well, as far as the kid`s complete lack of class and shitty attitude, I will point to his escapades at the Ohio State camp. He was being so disrespectful to the other campers and coaches, he was pulled aside and told to straighten up or he was done. Also, this was the same camp where he was so impressed with his ability to dominate a kid who had an offer from Monmouth alone, that he made a t-shirt out of it.

As far as his work ethic and technique, I will point to his entire senior season. He should have dominated not only due to his physical size vis-a-vis his opposition, but due to desire. He did not. If you watch the game against Southeastern, the only thing he puts effort into is his cheap shots against SE`s QB.

Pretty much cased closed on each front.

Jethro, perhaps you are better suited to Kentucky.

Oh, bukdow. You have reduced yourself to nothing more than a sad, pathetic raving lunatic on the verge of suicide. You sit there, in your puddle of spoo and pee, fingering your asshole and biting your nether lip, hoping, hoping that last year for Michigan football is paving the way for a future full of potholes and ditches. Oh, woe is the Sparty! To live forever on the strength of one shining moment fed by the worst team in Michigan history. Oh, what a tenuous existence, knowing that every day at the top of the mountain could be, nay, will be your last--and to have all your fortunes riding on a two time quitter and decommitter who had to have his Mommy live with him in Oklahoma. Oh, what bad cess to be a Sparty; to know your fortunes have peaked, and can only sink from this moment forward.

His senior year was bad - yep, because as the captain of the team he lead them to improve from 5 wins to 8 and the only team they lost to was Southeastern. He also scored a defensive TD, something every DT does.

His work ethic stinks - yep, that's exactly why he's lost between 20 and 30 lbs. in only 3 months workiung with Barwis.

All this is easily documented, yet your t-shirt story which was so offensive that it should be archived all across the country probably can't be found in any online search you do. Terribly significant.

(and I would really hate for any future Wolverine to be punishing people at an Ohio State camp)

Zip, in the future, stick to being intentionally repulsive and spare me the Mitch Albom type observations.

How dare you to tell me what is and what isn't "gay" you homphobic fag-cycle!
