* I have it on tenuous authority that Pau Gasol does in fact smell terrible. I do not have direct experience.

* There are other athletes who don't look like they smell bad but really do. Kwame Brown and Dennis Rodman, for example.

* If it were judged completely on looks, Eddy Curry must smell like a dumpster.

FWIW I know of a couple of people who've been around Gasol; one quite a few times and once for just about an entire day. Neither one has ever mentioned that he smells. However it could also be that their Catalan pride would never allow them to ever admit it.

FWIW you should not take my opinion into consideration. To me, all Europeans smell like ass mixed with copious amounts of expensive cologne.
