This is pretty sweet.

http://publius.org/

With all the attention on the presidential race, local legislators, county commissioners, judges and issues sometimes get lost. Many people show up and have no idea who all these other people are.

This site shows you exactly what your local ballot will look like for Tuesday's election.

Just enter your name and city and you can click on “my ballot” to see your exact ballot. Remember, if you have a paper ballot (scantron or similar) some of these will be on the reverse side of the ballot.

The candidate names are usually links to their web sites.

I voted absentee awhile back. :)

Note that Publius is NOT always complete when it comes to elections. As of this moment. they're missing the local school board election where I live, Last time around, it was something else minor.

Please check out Scotty Boman's website. I wonder how many votes he'll get just because people think Scotty Bowman the coach is running for Senate. He's even got a Red Wings jersey on the website.

I already have my mail in ballot all decided (dropping it off Thursday). You should see how many proposals we have (like a dozen).

By the way, if you're neither an Obama or McCain fan:

VOTE MOTOWN '08!
Where change is something I'll do in my spare time.

I probably should start campaigning.
