I'm doing this addition for a guy. He only had 1 leg. We've been talking for months, but today I asked how he lost his leg.

Basically, he twisted it at work. His boss sent him home for the day. It hurt again the next day and lots of fluid on it, so he went to the doctor. The Doc gave him a thing so he didn't have to go to work for a week.

About a week later his buddy called and Steve said he could barely hold a conversation. Very out of it. So his buddy took him to the hospital. He got some infection in his leg and, he found out, he had the diabeetus.

They gave him an IV with antibiotics, but it didn't work. Steve said he was sicker than a dog for weeks. Then they said, to save you, the leg might have to go. He was so sick that he said to take it off.

Now that sucks. He's about 32 or something.

moral of the story, if you get a swollen knee, go to the doc.

Couple of women in my life had problems with their legs. One had a broken ankle but was too drunk to realize it. Once she did figure it out, her husband (a small business owner) argued with her about the cost of the visit to the emergency room until she finally convinced her father to take her in.
