The deal on Sheed's jerseys
We just finished the first stop on the Pistons tip-off bus tour -- had a nice visit with Lewton Elementary School in Lansing. But I did get an answer to why people couldn't find Rasheed Wallace jersey's for purchase on the Pistons' Web site. People were assuming that maybe the Pistons were trading him or something -- not so much.
The reason the Wallace jerseys were pulled is because he's changing his number. He will go back to No. 30, after wearing No. 36 since 2004-2005.

GOOD!!! Seriously, I was just thinking about this the other day...
His last contract year was his last w/ #30...and he came to play every night.
Hopefully Carlos Arroyo didn't put a Puerto Rican voodoo curse on it though...

(I know that #36 was apparently a tribute of some kind to a dead sibling, but come on)

The Pistons are 0 for 4 with him at #36.
1 for 1 with him at #30.

I just figured it was for the same reasons that Rasheed's teammates have no one to pass to in the post. Maybe his jerseys are hanging out in 3-point land?

maybe he wanted a jersey number that more accurately reflects the number of minutes per game he's likely to get this year.
