Thousands of people who refused to evacuate have called for help.
Is it just me or do you not feel even slightly bad for them? They are told to evacuate, refuse, and now they want help.
^Insensitive, I know.

I can't stand how they put these reporters out there in their yellow raincoats just so we can see how dedicated they are.
Then they can tell us how stupid the people who didn't leave are, all while they are standing right on the beach with the waves crashing behind them.
"Be safe out there!"

I don't see why not.

"No one should ever sit in this office over 70 years old, and that I know." -- Ike, on the Presidency
But back to the Hurricane. No, I don't feel even slightly bad for most of these Darwin Award competitors. The exception are the juveniles they may keep along with them, the ones who can't decide for themselves.
What are gas prices like? I don't want to look.

Over $4. Shot up anywhere between $0.20 to $0.35 Thursday night.

I paid $3.83 yesterday morning and by the afternoon I was seeing $4.12.
They've reported on the TV set that it's up over $5 in Florida and other parts of the south.
