I really liked the pregame shows which consisted of "Bret Favre, Bret Favre, Brett Favre, Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo, Tony Romo fumbles snap in playoff game, Jessica Simpson, Bret Favre, Bret Favre, Tom Brady is playing, Brett Favre and that Merriman guy with a knee. Can I get that hour back somehow?

Tahoe

Sticking with the pregame show...

Brady hurts knee

Favre throws TD

Does he like the Steelers, too?

Tahoe

Surprise of the day, so far, for me is the Chiefs hangin with the Pats.

Which begs the question: Are the Pats done?

And Dallas is going to be friggin tough this year.

Tahoe
09-07-2008, 05:57 PM
NYG vs WAS. Giants get the Dubya, but thats about it. Skins need HELP.

Houston vs Pit. Fairly impressive win by the Steelers considering Ben threw for just over a hundred yards. One long TD pass called back. They might be ready to make another run with Parker back.

NYJ vs Mia Brett Favre is just awesome. You ain't seen nothin yet. But Maimi played a lot better than last year. Looks like a good offseason for the Tuna.

Jac vs Ten. Didn't see much of this game. Jac's are hurtin. Lots of injuries. Titans D played well. Young hurt, Collins in a for a lil while.

Det vs Atl. Atlanta looked good. You never know if you get those young peeps winning. They could have a decent year...and by decent I don't mean playoffs. And fuck Detroit.

Sea vs Buf Don't count out the Hawks cuz of this loss. It was ugly but there was a bunch of shit things in this one.

Phi vs Rams Philly dismantled prolly one of the worst teams.

Cin vs Ravens Dont know. Prolly about the same as last years teams, I'd think.

Also, I don't follow football but felt like typing.

I'm always hesitant when it comes to throwing a rookie QB to the lions (you can take that either way) at the very beginning.

SDB got my vote.

Expensive win for the Steelers.

Valuable RB (Mendenhall) and starting OL (Simmons) gone for the season.

I could see thinks falling apart a bit for them now, that schedule is just ridiculous and they really haven't looked all that hot to begin with.

There were some good god damn games today. Finally getting something for my NFL package money.

Tahoe
10-19-2008, 01:11 PM
Tony who?

Timone
10-19-2008, 01:14 PM
Harbaugh must've really ticked the Dolphins off. They're about to score on their first posession.

I hope they fix whatever the hell is wrong in Buffalo, so I can get MY BILLS game back on CBS and not have to watch any more of the Steelers-Bungals.

Tahoe
10-19-2008, 01:19 PM
I was wondering wtf was going on there.

Timone
10-19-2008, 01:20 PM

Timone
10-19-2008, 01:32 PM

Timone
10-19-2008, 07:07 PM
The Raiders just can't catch a break, can they? Feely misses a 52 or so yard FG that would've sent it to OT, but it doesn't count because OAK called a timeout. Then on the 2nd try he makes it.

I really wasn't feeling the Titans much until last night after they beat the Colts. The Colts aren't great or anything, but that was a game they (Indy) probably needed to win.

I'm convinced they're good enough to lock up the #1 seed and at least get to the AFC title game.

It's amazing how a team like Miami can be so bad and turn it around in 1 year. Gotta give Tuna some credit. But what leaves Lions fans perpetually disconsolate, is why we can't do fucking shit for 50 years or so.

Tahoe

Byron Rightwich doing damn good for the Steelers.

Anyone else watching the Green Bay-Houston game? Is it me or does Gus Johnson only mention a player's college if it's a Michigan college?

And the punter running it instead of forcing a blocked punt was pretty cool too.

Zekyl
12-07-2008, 04:01 PM
And the punter running it instead of forcing a blocked punt was pretty cool too.
I've wondered about that before. If the punter is POSITIVE its going to get blocked, why not just scramble, at least then you don't get a punt blocked and there's no chance of a touchdown return or better field position. Even if he just tucked and fell, its better than the alternative if they know its getting blocked.

Tahoe
12-07-2008, 06:27 PM
LOL @ Romo with that left handed throw.

Tahoe
12-07-2008, 07:09 PM
I WANT OT. GO STEELERS!

Tahoe
12-07-2008, 07:32 PM
Damn, Steelers scored twice.

Steelers are lucky Barber wasn't there and that it was at Ketchup Stadium or the outcome would have been way, WAY different maybe.

DE
12-07-2008, 07:38 PM
And that Romo couldn't hit the side of a barn and that the Cowboys kept turning over the ball and that....

It wasn't their greatest game but I don't think they lucked out the win either.

UxKa
12-07-2008, 10:00 PM
Or that possibly their most dependable player, Witten, fucked up bigtime twice in the closing minutes. That pick 6, Witten wasn't supposed to run a curl, then on 4th and 10 he doesn't look for the ball thrown directly at him when he was wide open. Witten is one of my fav players of all time, but wow those were 2 plays of suckage.

Timone

Threw a pick.

Dolphins have missed on some big plays in this first half. Ricky dropped a ball that he should've caught for a big gain and they missed on another play out of the "Wildcat"

Timone

Eagles-Cowboys, Dolphins-Jets, Broncos-Chargers later tonight for the West (the equivalent to bronze in the special olympics, IMO)... what a night!

Tahoe

Oh, its a late game. Is this for the wildcard? Cuz I think NE won the division.

Timone
12-28-2008, 05:26 PM
Miami wins the East if they beat NY, NE wins it if Miami loses. Jets get Wild Card if they win and the Ravens lose, I believe.
