First glance would appear that their blowout victories were a byproduct of a schedule that includes Coastal Carolina, Syracuse, and Temple. This Oregon State team had to travel across the country to play in Happy Valley, so I'm still not convinced. Saturday night's game between PSU and Illinois just got more interesting for me.

Argument leads to shooting deaths of couple in Alabama
EVERGREEN, Ala. -- An argument over Saturday's Alabama-LSU football game led to the shooting deaths of a couple at a home in southern Alabama, authorities said.

Prosecutors identified the victims as Dennis and Donna Smith of Brewton. The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Saturday at the home of Michael Williams in the rural community of Owassa.

Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.

Investigators told the Press-Register newspaper in Mobile that Dennis Smith, an LSU fan, called Williams, an Alabama fan, after Alabama's 27-21 overtime win and an argument ensued.

The Smiths went to Williams home. Investigators said Smith had a pistol and Williams had a shotgun and fired. Donna Smith was a relative of Williams' girlfriend.

Oklahoma is an exciting team to watch. When USC was killing people a few years back, it made sense because they had 435 five star guys that everyone who knows even a little about recruiting had heard of. While Oklahoma has recruited well and has good coaching, I legitimately believe Bradford is that good. He's not just a system guy or a guy reaping the benefit of amazing talent all around him.

But what the hell was Mizzou doing playing them? They looked totally mismatched. Texas would have been a game.
