That sucks. Of course it was downhill once Jamie and Brady (with Shep) was done. I enjoyed that show.

So who's taking over in the morning?

it's gotta be tough having only a 2 hr program at such a lousy time (6-8 am)at least when he was 6-10 he had time to discuss more things...but I'm not surprised, things just weren't the same w/o brady...

He never had any personality in the ten years he's been in Detroit.

Maybe we can get him to join here, then.

That morning slot has been abused lately by WDFN. Some very strange happenings.
Frankly, as much as I thoroughly enjoyed WDFN, with the introduction of ESPN radio on FM in Saginaw, I just don't fight through the static on Detroit-based AM very much anymore. It's not that I necessarily enjoy Mike and Mike, Tirico and Van Pelt, or Colin Cowherd more, but they come in nice and clear.

Also, I still despise Bill "Huge (Moron)" Simonson. From 3-6 I will still give Stoney and Wojo the occasional try, or just listen to music and call it good.

That "spousal arousal" thing that BHK and Henson used to do is still some of the most uncomfortable radio that I've ever heard.

I've heard rumors that WDFN is close to folding. Anyone know the scoop on that?

I don't really love Stoney and Wojo, but I don't want to listen to Valenti and Foster. That's the worst program on the air. I'd rather have Regner and Karsh back.

This is a good place for local media rumors/info:

Amen. I also heard a rumor that WDFN was going to make the move to FM like 1270 did...

Who knows.

None of the Detroit sports AM stations and 97.1 come in down in Toledo. It sucks. I'd love to be able to listen to sports talk while i'm out running errands or on my way to work.

If you are in the car a lot, then the $12.95/mo. is well worth it.

Matt Shepard is now doing the 6 to 9 shift (Sean back to his old slot at 9 to 12)

I've never thought Shep is strong enough to have his own show....great as a contributor, but not on his own

"Former WDFN personality Jamie Samuelsen -- who also blogs for freep.com -- will be the sports voice of the "Mike in the Morning" show on WRIF-FM (101.1), starting Oct. 3. He'll replace Mike Wolters, who remains a producer, GM John Gallagher confirmed."
