Jethro34 08-08-2008, 01:40 PM How many scholarships does MSU have for that class? Any thoughts on how this impacts the recruitment of Trey Zeigler? bukdow 08-08-2008, 04:19 PM How many scholarships does MSU have for that class? Any thoughts on how this impacts the recruitment of Trey Zeigler? I am not sure how many scholarships MSU has for 2010. I am hearing that the committment of Appling will positively affect Byrd`s decision. As far as Zeigler goes, I`m not sure. The kid says he wants to win now and considering who MSU has and has coming in, I think he has to be looking East Lansing`s way. Jethro34 08-08-2008, 04:35 PM So Appling's commit could help land Byrd, giving that class two 4-star guard commits. Why would Zeigler join that? bukdow 08-08-2008, 04:54 PM So Appling's commit could help land Byrd, giving that class two 4-star guard commits. Why would Zeigler join that? Because Zeigler is the best player in the state. Therefore, I imagine he is very confident in his abilities. If the kid can play, Izzo will play him from day one. And, joining that roster, he will win. FillyCheezeSteak 08-08-2008, 05:21 PM HA HA HA, I thought he committed to MSU like 3 months ago...............talk about being out of the loop. Jethro34 08-08-2008, 06:37 PM So, he's the best player in the state but Appling is rated higher. Unless someone leaves early, when Appling gets there he will be behind Lucas and Allen, who will be seniors. Lucious will be there as a junior. Appling gives them 4 guards (they'll obviously need more than that). If Byrd comes along that's 5, with guys like Summers and Green logging SF minutes. Even with all the confidence in the world, how does Zeigler possibly see minutes there? I think he likes what State has to offer, but will likely buy into another program that also does well but offers a "sure thing" for PT. He may want to win right now, but in all fairness State isn't a guarantee for that anyhow. bukdow 08-09-2008, 05:52 PM So, he's the best player in the state but Appling is rated higher. As for Zeigler being the best player in the state, I am just going by what coach Dawkins from Saginaw High said. |
