View Full Version : SDB's Ravens to the Super Bowl thread...
Tahoe 08-05-2008, 07:05 PM Kyle Boller to start preseason opener.
I just don't think the New England Patriots know the buzzsaw they are going to run into vs KBol and Ravens.
God help the Pats.
Wilfredo Ledezma 08-05-2008, 07:13 PM Geez, does Kyle Boller have any "upside" anymore...?
Treading water.
Geez, does Kyle Boller have any "upside" anymore...?
Treading water.
Nowhere to go but up.
Tahoe 08-05-2008, 07:19 PM ^ lol
Tahoe 08-05-2008, 07:20 PM BTW...don't tell SDB but lets keep this positive...as possible
Zekyl 08-05-2008, 07:26 PM Hey, they've got Troy Smith pushing him, he'd better put up or sit down!
Timone 08-05-2008, 07:31 PM It's payback time.
Timone 08-05-2008, 07:47 PM IMO, the only way we fall to these fucks again is if we show a little pride.
Tahoe 08-05-2008, 07:54 PM 'We' WILL NOT lose to them.
Tahoe 08-05-2008, 11:24 PM One of the biggest concerns entering Ravens training camp was offensive tackle. Over a week into camp, there's only more questions about that position. Jared Gaither and Adam Terry are expected to be sidelined for at least another week with ankle injuries, and backup Oniel Cousins is considered day-to-day with a knee injury. With these three players banged up, Mike Kracalik is starting at right tackle and Chad Slaughter is working at left tackle.
I'm concerned, but hey, I'm not concerned.
Timone 08-06-2008, 05:30 AM Not a big deal IMO. Flacco's probably so good he can play QB and tackle at the same time.
DennyMcLain 08-06-2008, 12:45 PM I'm choosing the Cleveland Browns as the surprise AFC selection.... notwithstanding Zekyl.
Flashes of brilliance last season. If they could extend it over a season (and get past the Glennlers...er, Steelers), they've got a shot.
Timone 08-06-2008, 12:51 PM If Walter Sharpe's favorite team is an AFC team, that's my sleeper pick.
Jethro34 08-06-2008, 04:35 PM I'm choosing the Cleveland Browns as the surprise AFC selection.... notwithstanding Zekyl.

Many people are picking the Browns to do well this season. The only "surprise" is picking them to go to the Bowl.
Never going to happen.
As predictable as it is, the AFC will be represented be the Colts, Pats, or Chargers.
Timone 08-07-2008, 08:12 PM Brady isn't playing tonight. Dude's scared.
Tahoe 08-07-2008, 10:00 PM 15 mins till I can watch THE Ravens vs the pats.
Timone 08-07-2008, 10:00 PM We're beating the fuck out of them. Really taking our MNF anger out.
Timone 08-07-2008, 10:04 PM Btw, I have two degrees from there and am allowed to include myself as part of the team (hence the we without quotations), even though I never played for the team.
Timone 08-09-2008, 10:29 AM Flacco went 0-3 in the preseason game against the Pats. Probably because he just wasn't used to facing shitty competition. Wouldn't surprise me if he bounces back against the Vikes and throws for about 300 on his series.
Darth Thanatos 08-29-2008, 01:58 AM Whomever the Ravens QB is they'll be lucky their pass gets off.
Timone 09-09-2008, 04:28 PM Keep doubting.
Tahoe 09-09-2008, 04:31 PM Flacco isn't exactly fleet of foot (judging by that TD run) but it worked.
Timone 09-09-2008, 04:38 PM Flacco isn't exactly fleet of foot (judging by that TD run) but it worked.
Double reverse = Cam Cameron is God.
Tahoe 09-29-2008, 07:02 PM I think GD's Steelers are going down tonight.
The Steelers are nothing more than a bump in the road to SB.
Tahoe 09-29-2008, 07:03 PM I also think he's dissin this thread cuz he hasn't even posted here yet.
Timone 09-29-2008, 07:04 PM With a win tonight, my Ravens will move to a 4-1 record over the last 5 against the Steelers. That's treading into OSU-Michigan territory.
Tahoe 09-29-2008, 07:05 PM Ravens OWN the Steelers. Plain and simple.
Timone 09-29-2008, 07:07 PM Hell, they'd be heading into the game with a 4-0 record had they not totally GIFT WRAPPED that MNF game last year.
Tahoe 09-29-2008, 07:09 PM There are some teams that make other teams just pee themselves. I think Steelers are wearing their yellow jerseys for a reason tonight.
Timone 09-29-2008, 07:11 PM When was the last time the Steelers won a championship? I ask this because I recall the STEALERS winning the SB in 06. Nice job, refs!
Glenn 09-30-2008, 09:04 AM sour grapes
Timone 10-27-2008, 11:43 AM Re: Troy Smiff to Joe Flacco for 43 yards
That was awesome.
Tahoe 12-07-2008, 10:20 PM Lookin good so far tonight.
Timone 12-28-2008, 08:05 AM A win against the Jags and :we: are in. Wouldn't be surprised if :we: fuck it up though.
Should :we: NOT fuck up, I think :we: are going to be very dangerous come playoff time. I'd actually like "our" chances against the AFC East winner in the Wild Card round (unless it's New England), especially if it's Miami (whose boots I will be licking today). Should :we: win that one, :we:'ll probably be playing Pittsburgh, a team :we: could have very well beaten twice already this season, in the Divisional round. To be honest, I'm not shitting my pants thinking about playing the Steelers. At least it ain't Indy, a team that routinely beats and embarasses "us"
Glenn 12-28-2008, 12:30 PM The Steelers are frauds, no O-line.
Tahoe 12-28-2008, 02:21 PM Damn, them there Ravens are looking tough these days. :)
Tahoe 12-28-2008, 02:24 PM Who dat sayin they gonna beat them Ravens?
Nooooooooooooooobody!
Timone 12-28-2008, 02:30 PM Keep that shit out of here. Go start up SDB's Steelers to the Super Bowl thread if you want to talk about Pittsburgh.
Timone 12-28-2008, 05:28 PM Ed Reed for ROY!!!!! I think that's like 100 picks on the season for him.
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:03 PM It almost happened.
Tahoe 01-18-2009, 10:05 PM I never thought they'd get this friggin close when I started this thing.
Good season.
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:06 PM I dinnit even think they'd make the playoffs, honestly. I saw it being an 8-8 season, at best. Good run. Hopefully they get even better in the offseason and on the field in 09.
If only Reed could play a lil QB too.
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:19 PM Flacco was putrid in those three games (yes, even the two wins), but has the whole Rookie thing to bail him out. With relatively high expectations (at least from me) for next season and a team that should be improved (especially on offense) in the offseason, the guy's going to have step it up if he wants to be the second coming of Roethlisberger that ESPN keeps touting him to be.
Isn't the defense getting old? I've heard a ton of talk re them losing Ray too. Of course that would solve some of the aging thing, but I doubt that's the right way to go about getting younger, at least not this next year.
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:22 PM Word on the street is they're going to let Ray test the FA market.
Glenn 01-18-2009, 10:24 PM Word on the street is they're going to let Ray test the FA market.
He's had bad luck in the street.
Especially in Atlanta amiright?
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:28 PM He's had bad luck in the street.
Especially in Atlanta amiright?
lulz (did I spell that right?)
Timone 01-18-2009, 10:33 PM Honestly, I watched Flacco in these playoffs and I saw a QB that was no better than Kyle Boller. As a matter of fact, I think Boller would've at least completed half his pass attempts.
Again, the guy was a rookie, so he gets some slack. Time will tell.
Vinny 07-09-2011, 09:54 AM What a douche.

Timone 07-09-2011, 10:03 AM SportsPickle caption made me laugh.
"The bouquet was subsequently picked off by Troy Polamalu and returned for a touchdown" or something like that.
Glenn 07-09-2011, 10:55 AM uberdouchey
Vinny 07-09-2011, 12:26 PM It looks like a AF ad. Ballin'.
Glenn 12-17-2011, 08:37 AM Trap game this weekend for the "Ravens", Tbro?
Timone 12-17-2011, 03:41 PM No, because SD isn't one of the worst teams in the league. LOL
Tahoe 08-26-2013, 06:55 PM TTT
Need to knock the dust off this bitch right now.
