Who?

Fuck him.

A couple more Pistons related posts:

John (Grand Rapids): I guess you didnt see Will Bynum at all?

David Thorpe: (12:35 PM ET ) I do, and do not love him. Fools gold.

Amir Johnson: do i ever put it together and become a good player?

David Thorpe: (12:29 PM ET ) Maybe. You deserve a chance, somewhere. Still look like a limited minute guy to me.

That's all he had to say about the 'Stones? I'd like to know why he thinks that way about Bynum. Maybe another sentence or two giving any form of a reason?

He "answered" a Walter Sharpe question too, but I put that in Walter's thread.

I started this one because if this clown is going to be doing regular chats, we might as well have one central place to put his "insight".

How much fun would it be if McCosky did live chats?

I know that Langlois did a few during the playoffs, but how many people would rather chat with him than watch a fucking playoff game?

Amit Aggarwal (Holmdel, NJ): HOW CAN YOU EVEN SAY LEBRON IS THE BEST IN THE NBA??? HE HAS NOT EVEN WON A RING! SURE HE GOT TO THE FINALS ONCE BECAUSE THE PISTION'S HANDED IT TO THEM! IF KOBE WAS IN THE EAST, EVEN THOUGH HE CURRENTLY HAS A BETTER SUPPORTING CAST, COULD MAKE IT INTO THE FINALS EVERY YEAR WITH LEBRON'S TEAM! WHEN LEBRON WENT TO THE FINALS HIS TEAM GOT SWEPT! NOT EVEN 1 WIN. THE LAKER'S LOST BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE THEIR 2ND BEST PLAYER (BYNUM) AND THE REST OF THE TEAM WAS TOO SOFT.

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:24 PM ET ) It's a team game. Marino, Tarkenton, Stockton, Malone, Barkely. You want to tell me that their less great because their team didn't win a title?

Steven (Toronto): Defensively, how good can JO and Bosh be together this season?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:33 PM ET ) Scary good.

wilfredo ( san juan, puerto rico): who do you like so far to win the nba title this next season?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:37 PM ET ) Boston.

Phil (DC): Starting at center, for the Eastern Conference all-star team ... Kwame BROWN!! Mark it down.

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:38 PM ET ) That's almost funnier than fat guy in a little coat.

Mario (San Antonio TX): I think the Spurs still have one more Championship, before they start rebuilting. what do you think?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:43 PM ET ) I worry about their lack of energy off the bench. ^Might have to run that one through the WTFTranslator

Eric (Dublin, OH): True or False...If LeBron plays like he has in the Olympics with this kind of aggression and attitude next season, and Mo Williams comes in and averages 20 ppg, the Cavs will win the Eastern Conference?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:50 PM ET ) Still gotta get through Boston, but Cleveland will be tough to beat, I'm sure.

Howard (Brooklyn, NY): If Delfino plays like he did today...how close of a game do you predict?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:59 PM ET ) I think Argentina can win.

Zekyl

It's a good thing Delfino has no consistency then.

jeez, take the Langlois questions and this guy's quality answers and you'd have some real stab yourself in the eye reading material

Thorpe's top 10 sophs.

Ronald "Flip" Stuckey is #5.

Mike(Charlotte): Will Kwame Brown finally breakout with the Pistons?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (12:30 PM ET ) No.

I've peppered him with questions, but he's not biting on my silliness.

Glenn

Got one in, but it cut off my name (just to get a question answered). He had answered like 4 questions from this "D.Miz (BreakinDownTheGame)" character.

Glenn in Detroit posing as D.Miz (BreakinDownTheGame) just to ge: You can't be serious about the Spurs. They are old, thin and DONE. What are you smoking?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif David Thorpe: (1:00 PM ET ) That does not remind me of college. But doubting the Spurs is a mistake.

Joel(Michigan): sup dave. Pistons have been playing better with the big line up instead of the 3 guard small lineup. Do you think the pistons should trade RIP, if so who should they trade him for.

David Thorpe: I actually thought Prince would be the better guy to move.

WTFchris
01-02-2009, 12:17 PM
So we move Prince and then what do we do at SF next year when AI leaves?

I guess you could go sign Turk, but you better hope he plays defense here or we'll get even more torched by Lebron.

Glenn

Thorpe is a boob.

He's been insisting that Wade is the best player in the world, until recently, when he switched to LeBron.

If only we could trade David Thorpe for the #2 pick...

Glenn

Kyle (Cincinatti): If you're the Pistons, do you just blow it all up now? There's no way this team can do anything in the playoffs. The chemistry is rock bottom.

David Thorpe: Yes I do.

Rodney Stuckey, Pistons
Like Young, Stuckey was expected to have a breakout season, but it has not happened. He's shown glimpses of that kind of talent, but he hasn't been effective as a 3-point shooter and doesn't get to the free throw line often.

Still, he's a solid player playing a very difficult position for a team clearly in transition. His numbers this season suggest he definitely is starter material. But he also has the potential to be a catalyst for a contender.

Man, outside of Durant and maybe Horford, that draft class isn't looking very hot.

Mike (Akron, Ohio): What do you think of last year’s NBA draft? Every player taken in the first round has star potential. Can this become the best NBA draft in a couple of years?

Langlois: There’s no doubt it’s going to be remembered as one of the best drafts of its generation, Mike, and the 2007 draft should be, too...
