DRAFT STATUS

19th overall pick, 2nd rounder belongs to Phoenix (Milt Palacio trade)

TEAM STRENGTHS

* LeBron is still growing as a player (set career high's in FG%, Rebounds, Assists)
* From a defensive standpoint, no other team in the league has a stronger front court, they can go 5 deep with quality bigs
* We were injury rattled like hell last year and still almost made it to the ECF
* Delonte West showed some signs that he can run the point for this team, and considering LeBron hasn't played with a PG since high school, next year could be a thing of beauty
* We have a draft pick this year after having none last year and taking Shannon Brown in '06, hopefully we don't f this up

TEAM WEAKNESSES

* As great as the front court is defensively, it's just as bad offensively, LeBron still needs his "Shaq", Z is too inconsistent...and he's injury prone
* Simply put, if LeBrons having an "off" night, we're done, need consistent offensive production from any of the other 14 players
* Almost no production from the 2 guard spot...
* Sasha Pavlovic took about seventy-three steps back as an NBA player last year after being a key starter for the '06 EC Champs Squad

OFFSEASON PRIORITIES

* re-sign Delonte West, he earned the chance during the playoffs to warrant another season as LeBron's dishman

* Boobie Gibson- last year showed his '07 playoff performance was a fluke, if he gets a big deal elsewhere, let him walk, his 3 pt shoothing is his only asset, and with LeBron's 3pt shooting improving last year, it's not a big loss

* Find LeBron a #2 option, you have some nice expiring contracts you can trade away (Damon Jones, Wally, Joe Smith) put together a nice package and go get LeBron a legit scorer, Michael Redd could work, he's from Cleveland and would be more help than Larry Hughes was

CURRENT DEPTH CHART

Final Draft Overview...

All we got was JaVale McGee...

Obviously he's not going to play much with all the bigs here, but between the two old corpses (Z & Ben) and the likelyhood of this being Varejao's final year (player option after '09, likely to opt out), McGee shouldn't be a 'bench player' for too much longer...

Probably going to try and trade Varejao in the July, and probably try and unload Joe Smith too since he's an expiring and could go along with Wally in any big deal we make at the deadline...so McGee could see minutes late in the season...

And you never know about Z's health anymore...he's one more foot injury away from McGee getting 20 mpg...
