I decided to give this a whirl since the final release is due some time in june. For some reason the text in the body of messages is all white on white background. It is being rendered and shows up when highlighted.

I'm not html-savvy enough to hazard a guess as to why. For all I know it could be a bug in firefox. Either way, I'm wondering if anyone else is using this browser and has noticed this.

As an aside, firefox 3.0 is a massive performance improvement over 2.x. Smaller memory footprint and handles pages noticably faster. Especially the script heavy stuff. There are some other bells and whistles but the performance is the dealmaker.

I'm pretty sure this issue has been brought up a few times in different threads. I'm not sure where and I'm in the middle of moving or I'd look them up for you.

i'm holding off on using ff 3.0 until it's officially released. i hope it's just a bug in the RC. i'll take a peek at the vbulletin forums to see if this is a common issue.

Bump... using RC2 now, white-out still in full effect. It's pretty much in code freeze at this point so I expect it'll still be there in the final release which is scheduled for tuesday, 6/17.

Firefox three official came out today and it still has the white text issue. This could be an issue when firefox 2 will automatically update to firefox 3. We need to get this fixed because it is really irritating.

Agreed, my IE is freezing so I am thinking of going Firefox, but I'd like not to have that problem.

Under Fonts & Colors click Colors
Uncheck "Use system colors"

That didn't work for me. But modifying the color of the backgrounds at least allows me to see everything fine.

Haha. I was just looking for a place to post that I can't see shit after I d/led FF3. I thought people were beng assclowns, writing in magic marker. This the only place I'm having trouble.

My current workaround is to use the IE tab extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419) which embeds internet explorer in a firefox tab. Adding the site name to its list makes it automatically make the switch when I come here in firefox but still... that's a weak kludge.

Either fix it immediately... or I'll... um, er... complain more. In this thread. In a mild, relatively inoffensive fashion. Every few days. Forever.

Well. I can't see shit, but it's not freezing like my IE was, so I'm going to stick with it. Time will tell how long I can tolerate the white text.

FF3 users having this problem should be able to see this text. I did it by selecting black from the color palette just above.

This tells me something is or may be wrong with the default font color here on the forums. Is it set to something called "automatic?" Perhaps it needs a specific definition (black?). I am not sure, but may be on to something.

Give me a minute to investigate this.

You can also read the text fine by just changing the background. It's letting the site use its default colors that causes the white text.

Yeah I tried that already, didn't work for me.

You go into Colors and change the background. Then you make sure the "Allow pages..." option is unchecked. If you leave that part checked then you get the default page and you'll still get the white text.

Well yeah, but that makes the site ugly as sin. I'm trying to find a bipartisan solution.

Please let me know if you find one. For Wtf, I uncheck the box and at least I can read all the posts. For every other site I go back and check the damn box again.

Alright, I think I found the culprits....some font color settings needed adjustments. Sorry that one took so long to hunt down.

Can anyone using Safari and/or an iPhone see if the forums look ok?

The blue seems slightly lighter in Safari to me, no big deal at all. Whenever I go to websites like WTF on the IPhone it locks it up. I don't browse on it.
