If I got the story correct on the tube...MLB is telling Little Leagues across the country that they either have to stop calling their teams the Tigers, Red Sox, Yankees or whatever OR buy their uniforms from a specific company.

The LLs are pissed cuz the cost of the Unis from this company is way more. Surprised? I didn't think so.

That seems stupid to me. Especially for mascots that are in more than just MLB (like the Tigers). How do they know they aren't naming their team after LSU? What if they aren't using the same colors as the MLB team?

Besides, lots of teams I've seen still buy the MLB hats that match. They would lose all that revanue if the team is forced to name it something different.

I had the story wrong...MLB isn't going after LLs, apparently they are going after the manufacturers of the uniforms. Either way, those kids who want to wear a Tigers uniform inexpensively, is prolly done.
