When I was a youngster it never failed to be the hottest day of the year in Detroit whenever we went.

I remember one year, I left my lil cheapo camera in the back window and when I came back it was a lil pile of plastic blob.

Can somebody tell me why the hell Kwame has his name across the Zoo's evolutionary water tower? I mean, not only is the Zoo not in the city of Detroit, it's not even in the same county...

The butterfly house is fantastic, especially if there are children or drugs involved.

Actually, that is the city of detroit, just like an embassy in a foreign country.

I've got a membership and have had one for years. My daughter loves going. It's not the greatest zoo but she can't get enough of animals and its never a bad time when you've already paid to get in. Gotta see the polar bear underwater tunnel. The kids also love to poke their heads up in the prairie dog exhibit (but don't try it yourself, smells terrible in there).

I'm not going unless they have a volcano.

BTW Wizzle, I think the kids park in the Toledo Zoo opens after the holiday. Too late for "this weekend" I guess.

Toledo's Zoo is supposed to be a whole lot better (I don't remember the Detroit Zoo very well so I can't really give a personal choice).
